I know I am really stirring the shiit pot here, but, I really hope Paul and Co. decide to launch another ride this year! They do a awesome job. My fear is he will not after all the crap in November. I am NOT trying to stir the pot-just hoping for another BIG GA ride!

There is always the back up site from last year,Lake Martin, supposedly it is going to be close to full pool by the end of April,Paul and I scouted the site last year,if there is adequate water by then the site definatly would work.I have entertained the idea of just doing a small one here anyways,I will have to talk to some people to see what exactly is involved first though.

I agree, they do a great job! However, the lake will not be back to normal anytime soon....... if ever.
Kathy expressed to me that they may want to take a year off.
It's a lot of work involved in planning and putting on an event of that size.

I think we can have a big ride whether they're involved or not. Look at Daytona, Wave Rave, the upcoming Pensacola ride, Texas, etc... If there's a big ride near here, we'll be there.

Not to mention the lanier ride started with people just getting together to ride before they were even involved.

I 2nd Lake Norman, a lot of riders there.

Kennay, are there any places in Myrtle where people could gather and ride legally in some surf?

Hmm. How many people? It would probably be hard to organize something like that here in MB. We already have that tour stop here.

Now if people wanted to come down, and we could all meet up at the landing and what not, sure. I could probably throw everyone's gas can in a boat, and throw my ski on. It's about a 30 minute ride to the ocean from the big landing. there is a small landing that is about 5 minutes away, but it doesn't hold many vehicles.

I'd be down for that. There are plenty of hotels and motels in the Little River area for cheap stay.

It would probably end up being more of an inlet trip, that could entail camping, grilling, ect...

I could see it being more of a party type deal though, as opposed to a dedicated freeride on the beach. there is plenty of coastline that is inhabited and available to ride on without any trouble.

Two hours south of Lanier! Lake Tobesofkee in Macon, GA. We have four public beaches and three campground. Full pool. I live on the water and any sponsors can stay with me with first class accomodations! Come on Paul, "Ski Ya" your butt on down here!

lake guntersville would be a good place or by gils house on smith lake. not gonna find any cleaner water than that providing they get any. interstate 65 passes right through there.

Sandy Beach Park is a great location, use to race there.
