Not to piss on your parade madmat but there in not a chance in hell you would survive trying to get barrelled in 20ft surf. The wave would up in slam you into the bottom and the WDK hull would crack into a million peices. Have you ever seen the Pacfic Ocean? It's waves are much more powerful than Atlantic.

no I just wanted to make sure that u are just as delusional today as u were yesterday..damn man I didn't know I was arguing withthe best rider ever to get on a ski because if u claim u can ride thosse waves and get shacked all day in 20 foot surf than that is what u are

To ride a huge wave like that is one thing, to survive the ride is another.
Getting pinned till your lungs burn and having a wave mop the ocean floor with you and your ski is no fun but thats not the worse part, when the wave lets go of you and you surface, ski not or barely running vision is not clear, trying to start your ski and clear your vision you then realize that another huge wave is now getting ready to serve you with a second helping of humble pie.
I have no doubt Matt could ride the big waves but the risk is riding that wave all the way to the scene of your demise, and thats why few are willing to do it.

Sooo even though nobody in the history of the sport (as far as I know) has gotten shacked on a 20footer u could do it no problem? Are u a pro rider? If not u should be. And if I was you I'd lay off the insults..I'm not mad yet but may be soon if u keep it up. Then when we do see eachother we can finish this debate in person and I promise you I won't be as nice as I've been here :skull2:

Speaking of cooling it, I just got back from my ride. A bit chilly - my bilge pumps were frozen due to the large chunk of ice in the bottom of my hull.
My cooling lines coming from the pump were frozen and had to sit in the 45ish water for a bit to thaw.
My steering cable was frozen.
My throttle cable was frozen, I had to work it over with a heat gun.
And finally, my hothands hose was frozen, had to thaw that.
Riding was great, burned 5 gallons, had my hair freeze for a short while.
