Well, our small dog (Kev) was attacked by our neighbors pitbull last week. The pit was in "kill mode" and got Kev by the neck, flung him around, trying to kill him. Luckily, i separated it fairly quick. Long story short I rushed Kev to the vet, covered in blood, un sure what was really wrong. They ended up only having to pull his tooth. It was sticking straight out of his face. That cost me $200. Since the attack hes had this really deep cough, like a hair ball but nothing comes up. Its almost like he has PTSD also. All he does is hide and is skidish. So yesterday he decided to throw up all day and he hasnt eaten anything except for drinking water. My lady is with him at the vet now seeing whats going on. Could this be from him getting attacked..? I dont know..
My question is, what do we do about the neighbors? Am i in the wrong thinking they should pay for the previous bill..?
They are not good owners at all. The pit sees daylight maybe 15 min a day, is locked in a cage, and cries and barks ALL DAY, every day... Is it the dogs fault? No. It is simply raised wrong and in a bad environment. If it gets loose (which it does weekly) and comes across our dog and im not there i have no doubt in my mind it will kill him.

Sorry to hear about that bro...luckily you were able to intervene. Its possible your dog has kennel cough from visiting the vet, but there could be some other respiratory issues.

I would have zero issues taking on the neighbors in court or whatever, if necessary. They should pay your bills. Dont mess with my dog or my family.
