Anyone workout ALOT? q&a

I think you should look into xfit. It would be great for someone your age and size to get into shape with. Once you get a little older and have managed to lean out a little you can get serious about weight lifting or powerlifting.

Try doing less weight, and more reps. Slow, controlled, muscle tightening reps.
It kills me to see people working out with too much weight and have terrible form. Looks like they are hurting themselves. A 120lb curls can't be pretty or have any kind of good form. To me, just hucking weight is not lifting.

On a side note, if I ever need to change a flat, I'll call you if I can't find my jack. "Lay under there agua and leg press my truck for me."

lol no problem
p.s i did 30 reps today as slow as i can go from full extended back down to the rubber and back up again and after about 10-15 mins i was able to do it again

120 pounds total, 60 pound bells not 120 each

from today on i am taken my diet very strictly
i am eating 600 calories of protein a day, verryy small meals throughout the day, as much of the darkest green stuff i can find [lol] and my normal supplements for mucle building and energy + my normal vitamins

Ive done this in the past and worked out great but ended up giving up halfway through but now i have grown up and know that if i dont take it seriously i wont get what i want

Im thinking about going out for football next year but my school team sucks [this season they won tops of 2 games] but im not sure because i know i can get more done without going to all the lifting over the summer and do it with my bodybuilding friend instead

and check this out: http://www.crossfit.com/mt-archive2/005317.html

right after the pic is a link to Russell Berger doing a 200 lb snatch...that is our trainer...dude weighs 147 lbs!!! The snatch is my fav lift to watch...but so hard to master. His form is PERFECT almost! :hail:

that looks ridiculously hard on your joints. I don't think id want to bend my knees that far down with 200 pounds over my head.

if anyone is looking to build forearms [good to get a nice strong grip]
get a pipe about 1 foot long, drill a hole through the middle, put some kind of rope through the hole, tie it off on one end, i put 30 pounds on the other end and hold my arms parallel to the ground and try to twist the rope up around the pipe till the weight gets to the top, depending on the way you twist it, it can work either the top or bottom of the forearm

You would be surprised.........I had someone tell me that our squats would ruin my knees. Doing oly lifts with good form looks bad but they really aren't. You don't just jump into a lift like that.....you strengthen your lower back.....stay on your heels and do ir right.

Dude 600grams of protein is a little overkill. A general rule of thumb is 1.5g of protein per lb of LEAN body mass. It would also help to figure out your bme and tdee to get an idea of how many calories you actually require. Your going in a little blind not knowing where to start. If you want help figuring out an adequate diet let me know.

Yeah.....Agua do you have a group that you are lifting with? Surely someone can sit down and help you with your diet.

Personally, I think you are resting far too long between sets. I'd think for a guy your age 60-90 seconds max between sets would be better. I think with 2-5 minutes you are losing out on any muscle pre-exhaustion.

600 calories per day spread throughout the whole day in small meals, not 600 grams, all i eat is the 600 calories of protein, drink lots of water, and take my supplements its a diet for cutting, i have bodybuilding friends and they have done the same thing

600 calories of protein plus how many other calories for carbs, fats, etc?

Again.....do you not have any ADULT that can assist you with your diet?

nothing exept the 600 calories and my supplements [ probably 150 or so from that]
I could find an ADULT but im sticking to this because my friend in the past was very much the same build as me and he had great results, he got the plan from a doctor he went to

so wait.......I thought you were eating TONS of veggies and fruit?

Find someone other than your friend's baby sister's cousin and sit down and work out a diet for you.

Lifting and diet isn't something to take lightly......I don't think you realize what you can do to your body.

I have had friends that got into power lifting and they are all now out of it. If you don't do it correctly you are just screwing yourself.

and I am not just trying to bust your balls.....but I think your diet is a HUGE part of why you are not getting the results you want.

you can't survive off of 600 calories a day and no other foods.....and supplements are meant to supplement your diet...not replace.

Good luck.

Man I wish i was 16 again, I forgot how wise I was at that age, LOL.

I am unsubscribing from this thread now. I originally joined in because I thought it was started due to a thirst for knowledge about health and fitness and an honest want to better yourself. It's quite obvious at this point that you are only interested in lifting and not interested in personal health whatsoever and only started this thread to brag about how much you can lift without getting sore. I hope you get the girl, win the trophy, impress your parents, score the winning touchdown...whatever it is you are working towards. Best of luck to you. I only hope you come to your senses, broaden your perspective and start to listen to some of the advice that has been offered by fellow members before you do yourself serious and permanent harm.

In the meantime, there are several very informative threads already started about health, diet and exercise that will be more interesting and rewarding and more than open to receive you when you are ready to actually talk about health and fitness.
