are all standup riders antisocial???

Anyways, long story short, why is that anytime I see anyone on a standup, I try and talk to them, I just get shut down. I mean, maybe it's the X2, but after we get out on the water, away from the launch and we can see each other riding and I'm killing it, at least riding a little better than they are usually, they still aren't into talking, so I know it's not because of the X2.

Just bums me out, rarely see superjets and kawis out in "the wild" and when I do, no one ever wants to talk, make friends, plan to meet up and ride. It's usually a hey and they just walk off. This happen where you live? I'm up in washington and I only see standups once for every three or four times I'm out and I've met no one new to ride with and I've probably been out 20 times this year already. What a joke...

I would say we are a little more critical than couchers on who we let into our groups, but you should not be having problems if you ride respectfully and don't act like a kook... (not implying you were acting like a kook)

For the first 3 months I knew Matt I just knew him because his wife talked for him. Then I mentioned that I used to have an X2, then the guy never shut up.:rolleyes:

No one rides stand ups at the lake I got too. I met one guy like 2 weeks ago, I was so excited to see another stand up out on the lake! I talked to him for a bit, he was an older guy, I dont think he had any clue about freestyle stuff, but he could ride pretty good. Everytime I'm out people just stare like what is that thing. In fact some one at the dock was like "oh how cute a baby jet ski" I was just like oh man :banghead:

I also get "they still make those things???" The funny thing is when I let people ride it, once they get up, they love it! Most people end up liking it better then my couch.

haha Well I was idling out of the lanch ramp, and my buddy heard it as he was pullin away from the dock. So I didn't get to see if she was hot..

HA Cheap.. SO sad those people dont understand what jetskis used to be! How much fun even the older smaller couches were. You cant do crap on the new stuff but go fast.... Straight. I barley ride my couches. Always on the sj.
