Best friend bought Tricky's Green Superfreak, then ordered a new Ballistic, it the taller model, more battery life or so. It lasted one ride............

Yep I think it's the impact that gets em. Breaks the weak solder connections between the cells. I put my warranty replacement 12cell in last week. I trimmed the closed cell foam that ballistic packages them in to fit my stock batt box. Also put a thick layer of closed cell foam underneath. Holding it down with a SN fire extinguisher strap. Three rides in!! Lol.

No time like summertime.

Am I the only one that noticed your dog has a fairly large penis?

BTW this might be my favorite paint job on a BC. The green is so sick.

So how does it compare to the F1 Pro? I like my F1 but I rode a Q8 a week ago and now I want a short little hull...

I like them both but they are total opposites. My f1 is super light and it also rides very light. Like its just skimming the surface of the water at all times. If the pump isn't hooked you have zero grip on the water.:) It's an incredibly fun ride once you spend some time on it. It'll make a better rider out of ya! The chan is also light but feels stable and planted at all speeds. It rides very similar to a freak in that it kinda just does what you want it to. You can get by with bad technique because it's so stable.. My wife rode it for the first time yesterday and it looked like she had been on it for weeks. She says "i'm just gonna take it out of the cove n back" Lol 20min later.....

... and the ride part?

I am too old school. Never been comfortable on the short hulls. It tracked well, Rode nose up but I weigh 210 lbs, Dog must be around 180 or so. One thing about these type hulls, they are set for the owner. Whereas a SJ for the most part is universal fit. I did start playing around on jawbreakers Freak, and then on Walker's Freak (Tricky's old Green Freak with Dasa 1200), started pulling some 180's on them.

I had been wanting to try ol' backie chan in the surf but Never would have thought I would enjoy it like I did. I burned thru 3 tanks this past weekend. I get about an hour out of my 2gal tank. Did my first surf back flips which shot my adrenaline through the roof. Did some with trim, some without. One scared the $#'+ outta me.... Pinned it a little soon for my skill level.. One hand flew loose and had me all spread out and off axis. I could've used a longer pole but was able to play all over the face of the wave. Thought for sure i was getting rolled up a time or two but slid right out of danger. My maniac motor was flawless. I restarted in the waves only once when I bumped my kill switch with my vest buckle. Also rode away from a flatwater flip after some coaching from Berky. An outside perspective makes all the difference sometimes. It wasn't pretty but I was still in the tray and moving. My form has improved for sure.
