Thanks! it was well worth it!

Some one must have added those mine doesn't have them lucky I only have 701 for now i will have to make some see if it lets my junk breath

Then im not sure i thought it was standard?

Also when I had the motor I had the two exhaust manifold going out so there was a total of 4 pissers.

Thanks its a awesome motor just needs a little tuning and it will be throwing me off. I ended up running those 2 into a tee and out one 1/2 in pisser

Had a present waiting for me at home today. 155 Skat Mag I have been kind of worried about spending money on it and i hope it is worth the upgrade but still excited to put it in and test it out

did you ever find out why the ski decided not to start back up at the end of your test ride?
Sort of. Im still new to these type of hulls and motor setups so Iv started to notice that I can just leave my ski floating in the water for a long period of time and I believe after a while the motor starts taking on water and it doesnt like to start after that.
I also think my ebox is taking in water so i dont think that helps

I just wanted to upgrade my pump
I tried to install the skat pump but the driveshaft bottoms out in midshaft and leaves a little more then a 1/4 in gap between stator and wear ring. So i removed the motor to pull midshaft and push it in a bit but pushing it in moves motor to far forward.

I didnt notice until looking at the picture but it looks like to me that driveshaft might be pushed to far out of pump stator

Decided to check on pistons while motor was out

Havent got the tuning down right so i contacted xscream to see what they would recommend for my set up. Best running tune currently it idles at around 1600 rpms and missing bottom snap but pulls hard on top iv clocked about 40 before I cant handle being thrown around on the small hull lol so I pulled my carbs to see what i had
Main 130 1 1/2 turn
Pilot 125 1/2 turn
2.0 n/s
95 spring

Xscream recomended
Main 142.5 5/8 to 3/4 turn
Pilot 127.5 1 3/8 to 1 1/2 turn
2.5 n/s
95 spring

Going to try it out see to see if i could get a better tune

I decided to go total loss because im cheap and didnt want to order a new stator/fw cover and replacement flywheel so I just ordered a lightened total loss flywheel from speedy as a nice little upgrade. Looks great and its way lighter

Decided to do some epoxy work this week. Not the nicest work but it's has plenty of clearance for the flywheel and it's flat for the fw cover. It should hold up now im just waiting for a present to come in the mail to put my ski back together

so what exactly broke the case?

did you just epoxy the broken case back together?

are you not running o rings under that head? I saw a lot of what looks like threebond. looks like some moisture got in there for sure, the cyl walls looked rusted.

did you ever fix the pump issue?

Im pretty sure it was a one of the bolts for the stator that backed out and caught the flywheel.

Yes i just used some epoxy. Drilled a few holes to help it hold from the other side then milled it clean

First time pulling the head off there are orings for domes but not for the head seal it probably was threebond but there was no rust on walls just the lighting

I think the pump has the wrong size bearings causing the shaft to sit to far out of pump. After putting on prop there is about a 1/4 gap between stator and prop

So many changes at one time I feel like its going to feel like a whole new monster once i get it put back together again with a 155 Mag, 110 octane, lightend flywheel, and going to make my zeel curve more aggressive. Just waiting for my raptor trim setup and will then be ready to put back together. Might just have to go buy a wetsuit so I dont have to wait a few months to try it out lol
