backie chan new new builder?

air blair

you are the reason
Some like em fat some like em Skinny, im sure a builder doesnt want to see his hull come back fkr repair nor a video of a diver bringing it up from the deep. I sure would like that "backie chan" name changed. Whenever i hear i think "crook" the new builder will have a hard time keeping up with those paint scemes steve did. The best ive ever seen. Props to him on that but trumped out to the crook

You mean some patch work like I had to do on mine. It was one of the bad ones steve made. And cracked on bottom. So I just redid it on bottom probably will never have another problem again. Hull stil rides like a dream though. And he does do fantastic paint jobs

That's a decent warranty right there. Think of the abuse it will take in a years' time. Totally worth the extra weight. Prolly save 30 lbs for same build quality with carbon if they offer it, but that weight savings never justifies the extra 2k in price IMO.

Patchy Chan.... That's funny right there boy. I just did a preemptive reinforcement job with 19 oz carbon. Hope this company does well its a fun hull.

Doesn't FF have any pride in their work? Or should I say their composite guru? At least they could have painted it black or layed carbon to make it look nicer.

The outside looks nice but I couldn't build that ski till I cleaned up the engine bay. I like my skis to look good inside and out. BUT, This is also a budget ski, you get what you pay for. Would I expect it to be as perfect as my FR or my buddies XFS..no.

Making the inside look clean and spartan isn't that much work. Maybe extra 30" of time to lay some clean carbon sheets or some dyed glass biax/weave. Did it on everyone of my SJ's.
