whatever you are closest to... Jax, Daytona, Sebby, St. Aug... It's all the same wind slop 99% of the time.
The good breaks you won't go near on a ski unless you want to be arrested or beat down by a group of surfers

What is the rule for surfers? I know when we were in shebby for that haiti freeride people were getting pretty close to them. I stay away just in case the popo is watching. I know when Bill came in we had to avoid them like traffic cones.

Shebby is a very interesting place. I liked it, I bet it is crazy when a swell is coming in. Too bad it is so far from Jax.

You have to stay 100ft from anyone in the water. That's the reason why I don't care for Sebby that much. When it's good there, the surfers are there in full effect. I like beach breaks...

Hey! Didn't have time to catch up on this thread, but quick glanced it earlier!

Nick, ya...I will get it to you at some point! Do you have photoshop? If not, I will probably send it to Mr. Mac first, and let him make it pop! He is always nice to me like that, when I ask...actually nice to me all of the time! (I think you just like evb coming up to Tona, so you don't have to spend gas money...lazy bum!) I like Tona, because it is easy to snap pics, and fun to watch some rather interesting white snow birds! :Banane13:

Tanner, on "shebby"... I saw one surfer out in the hole that day (and I was indeed worried about him, for I felt we got too close to him). He was very cool about it all though, and he had a 20 minute paddle to get out there! My experience there, is that the officers typically hang inside the inlet. They are particular of protecting that area when they happen to be there. Glad to hear the carnage last year was just your ski and not you, or anyone else attempting to rescue you!

That makes sense. I think I have only seen a surfer once or twice in the inlet at hugo. They are usually down the beach by the naval base.

I like hugo & matanzas. hugo is a bigger inlet and I have ridden some of the best surf there. Matanzas is a good break but it is just one of those places that makes you feel like you are in paradise. Are ridding group at Matanzas is a blast to ride and party with. Butti has a bad ass pontoon boat. Tanner definitely loves to ride, but he needs to fix that sinking ski.

my thoughts as well, hugo has a great chill spot to hang and get in the water.

this is a great thread!

its going to be a one stop shop for couch doochery in the future!

you know those old school surf spots, fishing spots, dirtbike riding spots that have been there forever and seems like noone knows about?....the ones you fear EVERYDAY might disappear? You know why they are secret?

thats because noone posts about them on the internet.

Many ways to look at your post…

Overall it is negative…arrogant.

Countless people with couches probably know more about surf and surf locations than you do, Idork…probably ride it better too…:sgrin:…and they have access to the net as well (quite easy to pull info up from various sites...just as I proved in the "original" thread, as well as this one).

The Spot, is not “secret”…only the launch area stand-up’s prefer is attempted to be kept as such…this is due to our smaller gas tanks, of course. If you speak with many owning a couch, and you are nice to them, explain your safety needs as a stand-up rider, you will find that they will likely be nice back to you (works that way for all boaters). If you are rude to them and insult them, you will likely find your behavior returned…works that way with most people, regardless of being water related. I personally realize that couches can save lives…great for filming…great for carrying needed items…the list goes on of course…they can be fun indeed.

you don't need to do anything to the pic, I have Lightroom and can light it up and make it really go off...
Thanks Suzi... You know my email, right?

You are welcome on the pic Nick…I will send it to you, and I will send it to Mr. Mac as well! And of course I still have your email addy, lol...I keep it filed under "Original Slutz", along with Saki's, Dre's and Stricky's! :highhorse:

lol you all are a trip. i wouldnt sweat that spot being over run with couches anytime soon. they do make great tow boats if you know who is riding them with you

I never mentioned a secret spot location. Hugo is well known and there are already a butt load of couches there. I agree they are great tow boats, great for taking pics, etc. Plus I highly doubt the gen pop of couch riders ever come here. This is niche site.
