Best Li-Fe battery I have seen so far

I've had good luck so far with Ballistic batteries in 2 skis . Been running a 12 cell in Hydrospace and an 8 cell in Superjet . They seem to be well made with a solid case . I keep the terminals coated with Buster .Modified the stock battery box in the Hydro . For the superjet , glued layers of hydr turf into a block with a recess for the battery so the straps stay tight . Thinking about mounting it on the electric box and using some real short battery cables .Ended up installing 14lbs race weight kit between tank and motor to keep the nose down for bouy riding and take the weights out for surf riding .

mine still is working, i can't wait for the piece of junk to fail so i can post with the rest of the fails. I use it every ride, every week, but never use a bilge pump. not sure why some people are having such problems with the shoria. has anyone had one longer than Scotty2t?

Mine impressed me this weekend by working perfectly. I even hydrolocked it and took forever to start. For anyone thinking of getting one I think if you are meticulous with caring for it you'll love it. I've accidentally ran mine flat twice, and it came back strong.

i wonder what kills the batteries. i usually keep my hull open to dry out when not in use. i doubt that has anything to do with it. I keep thinking that mine is next to go. everytime i go upto my ski to get ready to leave for the beach i expect some sort of fail. It has worked perfect and i think it cranks the motor faster than my deka. I don't know if i would recommend them to anyone anymore because so many people keep having problems.....

on a different note, some of our local riders buy the typical motorcylce battery and they are lucky to get a summer out of them with no TL systems. so who knows, every battery is a gamble i guess.

My shorai seems to be dead after 1 month and only 2 ride. Negative cable was removed to be sure I have no electrical drain. I have emailed the company to use warranty

Hopefully they pay you more attention than they did me. They emailed me asking for more information about 2-3 weeks ago and then just never said anything else. I can understand the warranty claim taking time but getting an RMA # shouldn't take more than a day or two. They obviously don't care. When I first had an issue with the battery charging about a month before it died, I contacted Shorai and they didn't respond to that either.

Since it was a shot in the dark that they would honor a warranty anyway and the lack of response from the company has pretty much sealed my fate, I decided to dig into the battery and see if there was anything I could do. There's nothing I can do.... Here is what the Shorai cells look like. This explains why the ski would die after a normal jump before padding and only after a hard landing once I added 1" of padding. Very soft bags and the connections are just ribbons glued in place. The battery did well while it was alive but it appears to be built more like a laptop battery and not a power sports battery. Just my opinion.

PS - I cleaned up the battery quite a bit before this because there was water and all sorts of other crap in there.
