Best ski for my budget?

Could always throw a wrap on a SN like I did on mine, if you don't mind a lot of tedious work. Wrapped it for under $200.

Wow that looks really good! I would for sure try that. How long has it been on there?

Goin on 2 years, it's all in the prep work. I also clear coated over mine when I was done to help keep it down.

I went from a kawi 300sx to a stock 650 square and it was like going from a tricycle to a rocket ship

Def don't buy a square. You will hate how fast and hard you can ride it and all the money you save compared to a round. The reliability will leave you in frustration as you'll find yourself riding way too much with not enough time to research what else to buy on the internet.
So true! I have a 90 SN 701 that never runs right, so I just bought a 90 SN 650 stock. I love it! It runs perfectly. Now I've been at the lake 3 days in a row and I'm running out of money fast. I'm debating whether I should go tomorrow too, it's only money. Although, if I decide to ride tomorrow, it means I have to wake up an hour early for work which is 2:30 am. Bottom line is I'm having a blast!

Just keep your eyes on craigslist and the right deal will fall to you. I picked up a lightly used 03 RN SJ for 1400 a couple months ago. It is rare, but be sure to jump on a deal like that.

I bought a rn this summer as well, practically had every mod you can imagine with the exception of trim for 5.3k

I am 15 as well and this was my first year ever riding a stand up. We bought it because neither of my 550's ever want to cooperate which I had been wrenching for three years before I got the reward of riding one for the first time!

Sq nose does sound like a good machine like everyone says (I don't like them much) but they do sound to be reliable when stockish, no matter where I read!

You can shorten it, which makes a big difference in how you ride. I can't ride a ski with a stock length pole and I'm only 5 10
