Best ski for my budget?

If you are going to spend $2600 on a square with a pro tec pipe, you might as well save the extra money and get an older RN with a b pipe for like $3000 or a little more.

I think that square with the holds and the pro tec pipe is over priced.

I've seen cleaner squares with b pipes, ada heads and aftermarket poles, etc cheaper than that 2600 square.

Be patient and either save more money for a nicer ski or look for a cleaner one with a b pipe.

Ya for sure it is overpriced, I would never pay that asking price. I will be keeping an eye on it though.

Never noticed you're only 15, just read the first post.

Dude, best advice...coming from someone who wished they did this when I was your age. Just buy a stock 701 square or roundnose and keep it reliable. Biggest turnoff with skis when I was your age was broken crap. A stock 701 will have more power than your 550 and a lot more reliable! Just ride it and beat on it until it blows apart cosmetically and internally. Add mods as your riding progresses. Get out there and braaaap

Like others said. Save and buy a reliable rn. When i had square i always wanted a rn but just went aftermaret instead. You'll want to put a rn pole on it or at least an aluminum pole because you will break the stock fiberglass pole doing stabs. If you start doing big tricks the sn hood is weaker and may crack on failed rolls. I ended up with a square with a surfjet louie hood and nose piece and a rn pole and that money could have just went to buying a rn in the beginning.

I wouldnt mind riding the 550 for another season, probably better to just wait and save for a rn then buy a square now.

See if your dad is willing to spot you some $$$. If you show him 2k and say you need a grand to get a roundnose and your willing to work YOUR ASSSS off for a whole summer to pay him back, who knows. I mean you're 15, you have no bills, no rent, etc. Worth a shot.

There is actually a good chance he would, he said he would lend me some $ if I found a square and if I didn't have enough money in time. I will have to talk with him tomorrow.

In that case, go grab that RN that SmittySX posted in South Bend. He's asking 3500. Bring 3k and take home a clean RN. Or the ski I just posted, offer 3k and see what happens. Plenty of Michiganders going to Wavedaze that could bring that 2004 back to Michigan for you
