Jeeze. Both those are way way way way overpriced. A stock 701 square should be between 1500-2000$ depending on how clean it is.. For 2000$ it should be close to perfect or come built with a pipe, head, and a good prop.
That 650 is way overpriced too. In Wisconsin I've seen some solid 701 squares and others too for under 2k..

Wanting to upgrade from my 1990 550sx. I wouldn't be upgrading until next season or possibly later, but I think the most I want to spend is $2000. I am 15 so its going to take me a while but I don't want to get a cheap pile and would rather save up for a clean ski. I ride on lake St Clair in the north channel so I'm leaning towards a superjet for "freestyle" rather then racing. I also ride in the trails alot (flatwater). Is a rn superjet in my budget, not a fan of sn. What about a 750? Not really a freestyle ski but in budget.

I didnt read all the replies, only your original question.

You can not afford a RN on your budget unless you find a good deal on an old stocker. in the long run, youd save a LOT of money by waiting longer for a good condition limited.

Heres what i perceive to be your best options based on your patience. Know that my recommendations are always going to focus on 3 major factors...
Seat time to practice and network
Long term investment
Reliability (supporting factor of previous)

Option 1 (immediate with long term goals in mind) - Blow the entire budget on a very well maintained square with a 62t/61x conversion, girldled head, B-pipe prop and intake. They can be had under budget, but you want mint, reliable and with as many mint condition mods you can get. You dont want a used up beater. You want good parts that will last years. Start saving again, but this time your out meeting people picking which aftermarket hull you are saving for.

Option 2 (longer wait, but better ski sooner) - The AM hull goal is going to be a very long term goal on your budget. A used rickter hull with pole can run 4-6k. Thats a heck of a wait. If you don't like option 1, option 2 is a similar ski but a RN. Nice limited RN can be had for $3500-4500. If its minty, has a boatload of good parts and holds you like, it could likely be all you ever need (note need, you will always want more)

Other options would to be to save for a AM RTR, but the wait isnt worth it unless you are expecting to quadruple your money in the near future.

This one kinda falls under option 1 https://detroit.craigslist.org/mcb/boa/5509551292.html

First off, superjet is the only answer.
For the price difference between a square nose and round, you can put alot of performance into the square.
I too hated square nose looks. But I hated being on a 650sx more, so I bought the square nose. I've never been happier.
