Well I found a ski or should I say ski's that I am picking up Wednesday. Guy is selling us a 1995 750sxi, 1989 550, and a trailer. This is too good of a deal to pass up, he barley rode them and have just been sitting in his garage. Very clean skis in and out.

Picked up the ski's today and have a few questions

What is the best way to prime the fuel lines, both fire up with starting fluid, but gas tank and lines were empty so need to prime them.

Is that a stock 750 waterbox?

Should I keep oil injection?

The guy took care of the ski very well, he followed the manuals for when to do maintenance, how to winterize, and stored in his garage. They have been sitting for 5 years and they look brand new! I believe the 550 has a factory half pipe, aftermarket flame arrestor, and a primer kit.

Yes it has a half pipe and i don't think that is a primer dude on the 750. I have never had a 750 before but it looks like a case drain on a 650. Clean skis, don't mod them just ride them. Gas/oil + BRAP. Give a big ol middle finger to anyone saying you need a superjet now. Yea it would've been better to start with one, but you have clean skis and are 15. Ride these things and take care of them. Like I have said, when your riding progresses then go bigger. But keep these skis pristine like they are and you will have great resale value or some of the cleanest skis if you decide to keep. Just get out there and ride man!

What is a case drain?

Oil Injection works fine as long as the lines are not brittle. I had a X2 I ran injection and worked great. But it is just easier to remove and block off and run premix

What is a case drain?

Another thing to buy a block off plate for. Basically, it a quick drain in case the crankcase filled with water. You pulled the knob and out the water went. Well, fast forward 20 plus years on some skis and it is nothing but a source of an additional air leak. Just go ahead and buy the block off plate for the oil injection and the crankcase drain.

So for taking off oil injection all I have to do is unscrew oil pump, install plate in its place, disconnect oil pump lines, and put rubber caps on carb

Loosen bolts, cut oil lines and and remove tank. Make sure not to get oil all over your clean ass 7fitty. Walk to the trash can and slam the oil injection in there or if you live in the middle of nowhere see how deep into the woods you can chuck it. May have to pull he studs out, I can't remember. Then put the block off plate on
