maybe not the best but it would be the cheapest a sn with tubbies extended ride plate , shortened pole I had a rn pole which was shortened it carved really good

Not a joke. I have never research standup for running buoys. Thought I would ask the group what worked the best. I have an opportunity to build one and need more information. Forgive me if it seemed a stupid question to some.

Sorry no such thing as a dumb question, and of course you're going to get differing opinions on here but in the race scene its mostly between Hydro Space and SXR's, mainly favoring SXR's. A lot of this has to do with cost, as SXR's are much cheaper than Hydro's. They both have very similar bottom designs and since the SXR was around first, the Hydro's have even been accused of ripping off the SXR bottom. The Hydro's usually kick the SXR's arse in stock class but that's because stock Hydro's and SXR's aren't really a apples to apples comparison when it comes down to HP, a Hydro and a SXR 1100 is a more equal comparison. A few will swear by their 2008+ Superjets which are great all around skis and some of the occasional racers do well on them in their local scene but when it comes down to the more serious stuff like World Finals its mainly Hydro Space or SXR. If you're an all around rider that likes to get stupid rec riding and occasionally running buoys then the 2008+ Super Jet is a good call. If you're only interested in carving or riding Buoys and are somewhat on a budget, Go with the SXR, and if Money is not so much of an issue then go with the Hydro Space. Either way the best advice is to ride each and make your own decision.

How'd that work out for you? (serious)
It was just a beginner class race, but I stayed in front of a stock sxr, a SN and a RN for 2-3 laps before fatigue set in. I was getting slapped around by everyones wake pretty bad. Technically i finished 9th out of 10th because the other guy missed too many buoys haha.

I'm serious! That thing carved hard and sucked down super stable when you got on it at high speeds. I think it's a market Steve should have explored.
