Nice homework ghetto fox, you cant leave that jetski alone.

Has anyone ever built a fixed steered js? Thats something I would like to try. That with a 701 and a 650 pump would be entertaining.

Yea, I helped Neuba (hes over on pwctoday) built a fixed steering 550... but I'm pretty sure he never finished it.... sigh...


I'll post pictures of my turf tomorrow, night pictures look like crap. But big thanks to LucaumPits for helping.... And to OrangeFinger for the starter!

I’ve christened your ski the Ghetto Fox. If you don’t wish it up a tree again, we need to make it official at launch. Both Mike and Gary called today; Mike with a new cell number, Gary is about to mod the fx1…no idea if my auto titles arrived yet.

As for me... I'm done. I just bolted up the new starter, fixed a couple wiring problems, and boxed it all up again. I turned in my jetting needles to 1 turn out on the low, and 1/4 turn on the high needle. They were at 3.5 turns on low and 1.5 turns on high. ( the low needles are fine thread so 4 turns is easily acceptable.)


Throwing some new insulation up in the attic with a rented blower tomorrow morning, so I dont think I'll have time to jump on the lake before class... but after! to the lake! I'm hoping I dont have to go to leaner jets.... as I cant find my jet kit. Damn.


PS... now that the turf is done, standing in the footholds makes me realize how short this pole setup is.... Measured it up against a superjet tonight. The pole measures to be a -2" (against a round nose, not 550), and ends up being an overall 6" shorter than a relative RN pole when standing in the footholds due to the forward nose.

Alright ya lil heathen, give me a call as soon as you know what time you plan to hit the water. Just come ride this lake so I can get pics/vid…plus I want to try it out too! I can’t imagine the pole that short, even for me; it will kill my lower back. I’m going to tell Gary what you posted just to ensure the fire stays lit…we’re both being warm weather princesses this season it appears.

Excited for you…fingers crossed, lol. :fingersx:

Holy :):):):) its cold outside. so much for sneaking in an early morning ride... this is just ridiculous.


after turning my low jets down to 1 turn it stumbled real bad on transition, so I turned them back up to 2 turns. And at 1/4 turn on the high jets the exhaust is still smokey as all hell.

Why? LoL, cause if you look back... i dunno 13 pages or something like that... Youll see I was busy building this in 14 days for daytona last year. Looks were not of concern. But its all resined and sealed in there, so I cant get it out for now.

And I ran out of resin when I did the nose... So whatever. Ive never been a huge stickler for how something looks... as if you couldn't tell already.

There is a lot of waffle on that ski.... I hope i dont get tired of it too quickly. But it does grip shoes AWESOME. Much better grip than diamond has.
