Guys, this could be the loooooongest 6 minutes of your life, but it is real video footage shot yesterday that demonstrates how 'race' carbs do for freestyle. This is nearly 6 minutes of watching a ski idle and then catch RPM's perfectly at the end. If you endure the whole 6 minutes of video, you will watch the last 20 seconds and then say WOW!!!

that is pretty impressive, i don't think i could do that with my novi's

i am putting bj 48's on my fixed steer once i build the 760 motor for it.

All engines could do that with proper porting, engine design, standard Mikuni's and the big one is the VP MS109 fuel, don't make it out that's because of a set of aftermarket carbs....

I was running NRG yesterday. 100LL av gas mixed 32:1 w/Benol
(nice try by the way)lol My fuel supplier can vouch for the fact that I have not purchased any MS109 yet. He did however let me try a tank of ot a couple months ago and now MS109 will be in my ski after I rebuild my engine in the next couple of weeks. (annual rebuild time).

Nobody could get my Full Specs to do that.

Now to clear the air-I do enjoy ragging you guys and that part is obvious. You build some awesome motors, but you are gonna have to get up a lil earlier to put the smack down on me. LOL BTW-you do know it's just friendly ragging, right?

I find it funny that everyone at last years Navarre ride was bitching about the long no wake zone because the boats were loading up and fouling plugs, that no wake zone was only 100 yds or so,most of the skis there would have never made it for six minutes. Mine would probably idle all day long if necessary.:wavey:

I could pass the same test with a single Novi 48, but did not have near the power I have with the dual 46 BJs. Futhermore I had to adjust my Novi from cold to hot weather and I have not touched the screws on the BJ's since Art and Crammit set them up for me. I really thought I would have a lil lean stumble yesterday but the carbs were spot on as usual. I really think the 46s are VERY tuner friendly.

I have a single 48mm BJ on my 550sx. I can go @ 3/5mph for hundreds of metersd (yards) and hit the gas - brrraaap instantly.. Really good carbs...however cannot say whether NOVIs or other cannot do the same - never tested one...

Isn't it more proper tuning than anything else?

Not really, when you start modding engines it is hard to get it have good idle quality and have good bottom end snap, the way it usually works is the low speed is set over rich from where it actually needs to be to have the best idle quality.

This allows the engine to pull through the transition circuit to the main jet circuit, if you were to lean the low speed out where it idles properly then you will have a bog when you take off.

On some of the sitdown craft they have installed accell pumps to correct this,it is done mostly to clean up EPA emissions but it does allow for a clean idle and when you stab the throttle it gets a shot of extra fuel to carry through the transition circuit to the main jet circuit.

The circuitry on the Blackjacks is quite unique and was developed after many hours of testing on the flowbench,it pulls fuel immediately when the throttle plate is opened allowing for a clean idle and the awesome low speed hit that all the freestylers seek.
