Super Jet Bought my first Jetski :)

Just received the hood/nose piece from the paint shop. It turned out pretty good.

Only sees the sun when i'm riding. It's stored in a carport during the summer months and in my parents house during the winter. I unfortunately live in an apt and don't have room for my ski here

Yeah it is all about covered storage, or at a minimum a good cover. I have a 96 HX that looks like new because it only saw the sun while being ridden, with a good waxing at the start of every season. Both my SJs were sun beaten before I got them. It's nice to not have to worry too much about keeping them mint, but would prefer a non faded look.

I hear ya, when I was looking around for a standup, i seen quite a few in rough shape, i somehow got lucky and found an 09 superjet just three hours away. The guy who i bought it from, owns a small engine business and he bought this for himself, but hardly had any time to use it. The jetski is super clean inside the engine bay and the outside is mint except for the light scratches on the right side cause he had it tied up to a dock . Dunno why he would do that, i always just pull it up onto shore. Either way, i'm very happy with my purchase, i almost ended up with a kawi which i'm not a big fan of, the guy i ride with always asks me to ride his sxr, but i usually just start mine up and take off lol.

here's a picture from last night, right after i finished riding. I ended up putting the stock chin pad on. I'm currently waiting for a reply from mike at optimaracing about an rrp chin pad. I'll have some good pics with a good camera once everything's finished.

yeah dock rash is no good, I have a little on one of my SJs

I bought it off a guy that lived in a house boat on Lake Ontario, and he had it tied up outside his living boat. pretty minor rash mostly on the sticker on the hood.

Ski looks great man. Your custom RRP pad is on the way, and I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. I hope you are as well. I think it's going to match the whole setup perfectly. We did it out of super tough printed material so it will give years of fade free use. Post a picture when it's all together.

I bumped you up to USPS Express to get it to you extra quick because I know you want it all finished up!

Lil update with the pole complete, mike is a great guy to deal with.
I'll have some better pictures hopefully this weekend, that's if i have time to install the dual cooling this weekend, the ski is running too hot right now, especially with the weather being around 35C, close to 40C with the humidity.
