im done, just waiting on my start stop switch... I swore i didnt sell mine from my last engine. Dont you hate it when your waiting for 1 single part thats holding you up??

got my start stop switch in... and of course it doesnt work. Seller failed to mention it was for a couch and was too short, I had to lengthen the wires, so i soldered some new ones on, and it only starts when i jump the brown\red connection. It doesnt fire up either, its not drawing fuel in. cranks over nice and fast, but isnt pumping fuel into the carbs. my fuel lines are still dry. I have them all hooked up right.

Are you sure about the fuel lines? In on the bottom, out on the top. Pulse lines hooked up?

That sucks about the sss. PM Jetmaniac if you decide to get a different one.

just started getting fuel, i dumped some into the lines to kind of get a suction going. fuel filter is filled up now. Took the plugs out to check for spark, and couldnt see anything, so now im going to trouble shoot spark.

Brock...I know it's a PITA but adding the extra length on ur SS is a good thing. I do it to all mine so that I can disconnect the whole assembly on either end. I usually put a break inside the hull after it exits the pole wire guides. I use the heat shrink bullets from mcmaster and then I can disconnect and pull the whole SS assembly off the pole. I use some of that mesh wire loom to bundle all the wires together and then slides easily back down the pole. If ur SS is not working from the start I'd send the pos back and bitch to them bout it. I can't stand misrepresented parts.

thats a good idea. didnt think about doing something like that because to put the switch in i had to take the pole off to route it through

I got the switch working, just had to clean it out, it started and stays running so thats good. Im taking it to the lake tomorrow for a test ride. Im expecting to have to do a little carb tunning. I cant really complain, I paid $30 shipped for it, never asked if it worked or not really.

Out of the water, I still have smoke coming out of one pisser. Its coming from the line that goes from the top of the headpipe T'ed to the pisser and waterbox

got my test ride in, and it wasnt fun... was just bogging the whole time, I couldnt get anything to happen even with messing with the screws. For sure need to jet the carbs as this is a stock 62t\62t with a b pipe. I cant find any suggestions for carb jets\tunning with a bone stock 62t\62t with a b pipe. All i can find is 61x\62t with mods. Its hard to describe what happen because not very much happened. I could get on plane, throttle response is ill, if you wanted to grab a handful of throttle it just wouldnt want to go.
There are no exhaust leaks anymore, and all the electrics seem to be functioning. What about the dreaded overheat sensor in the head?

its a 701, i know the 62t isnt the best cyl for bottom end, but thats not the case here.
38mm dual carbs, I just took them both apart, and found that one carb had a 130 main, and the other a 120 main(wtf?). cant see the markings on the pilot jets, and same case for the needle\seat.
I dont know what to run either, searched for hours trying to find some hints on a 62t\62t b pipe setup. Theres no yamaha or jetski shops around so I will have to order all jets\parts online.

Different main jets are typical in couch motors.

Since you've got a fairly stock motor that came from a couch (blaster?), I would think no one would really bother posting jetting since it'll be really close to what Factory pipe recommends. FP says 70 pilot, 140 main, 115g spring, and 1.5 N/S. I think the blaster engines used dual 38's. I'm not that familiar with those things so I could be wrong but I think that's how some of them were set up.

I feel your pain ordering jets. I've gotten jets pretty quickly from Atlantic jet sports though.

ill try those jets out, and order some more above and below, just to have some extra. I dont know what the motor came out of either. I did get a good deal on it though, a complete engine (electrics and all) for $850 shipped.

got it running right, everything is almost closed, does that mean my jets are too big? Im at about 1\2 on the lows, and 1\4th on the highs. I got a good 5 hours of riding today, it was a blast, nothing really slowed me down. I did however break my exhaust hanger thing i epoxied to the hull, so now my exhaust tube is rubbing on my battery plate. Im probably just going to throw some turf on it and call it good till the winter. I also lost a steering bolt on my nozzle, but had a spare.

I would go down a full jet on the high and maybe a half jet on the low. However, if it runs right and you don't have the jets, might be something to worry about next time you need to order something.

"My Gulf NCBrock Yamaha Stunt Hull has been running great all day! At this point l would like to thank all my sponsors for making this ride possible today"

Could not resist man! Glad you had a great trouble free day on the water. You were due.

Ive got to find a way to get more air. My 4 little hood breathers and pole breather filled with cables isnt enough I think. I had to close off my second pole breather due to water ingestion problems (it is just open and exposed because it cant fit in my pole) and that is creating problems. I cant cut any more holes in my hood, The only thing I can think of is to modify my pole to accept a second breather hose, but I cant get access to the plate I need to cut off, I need it like plasma cut off
