Need some help guys, I've almost got this project wrapped but I'm at a loss on how to finish up the steering. It's a superfreak pole so there's no actual dedicated mounting positions. I don't want just start drilling holes without knowing exactly what I'm doing...

1) How do you mount the steering cable stop to the pole? A U bolt? No idea where it should be mounted so that I'm getting the right amount of throw...

2) What is used as a steering plate "stop"? I've also heard that a u bolt is/can be used here, but how big of one? Again, seems like if I don't have the right size I'm going to be limiting my throw, or... Overextending and stressing the cable with too small a stop.

Anyone have pics of their setup??

Advice??

Someone with an rn pole or any other pole needs to measure the distance from the steering cable holder to the turnplate and then you'll be good to go. Do you still have a square nose pole from your old ski? If so, drill out the rivets for that holder and bolt it into your new pole, or epoxy it. Whatever you want.

I've already measured. I need someone with some direct experience with rigging this pole. Don't want to just start drilling holes.

i will need to do the samething soon. I was thinking that I would just center the bars, center the turn nozzle with the cable hooked up to each end and that will show you right where the mount on the steering end needs to be...? With the nozzle centered that sets your cable throw in the center position which should translate to center position of the bars. seems simple, but maybe im missing something.

This is my thought as well... I figured I would center the ball arm couplers in the the middle of the threaded ends to allow for adjustment.

Got ahold of Tem. He has a specific bracket that holds the cable. Hope to have it soon. Apparently a stock SJ turn plate stop can be used...or a large bolt...or a U bolt. Sounds like whatever works
