Seeing all of these people finally come out and tell the truth, I feel OK pointing out one thing that I have experienced with Paul.
I’m not sure if this fits into the category of integrity or ethics, but two years ago, I was at his shop in NJ and he showed me the carbon B chamber. He told me that the price was $2000.00. He told me that “people like me” needed one of these since I seemed to like to have the best parts on my ski.
Later on I became friends with crammit442 (Charles), the maker of the pipe. From talking with both Charles and Pete I learned that Paul knew that these did not function well (supposedly he ran them on his dyno as well as on a few skis). He was trying to sell me the prototype that he knew did not perform, for $2000.00.
Additionally, I see all of these young kids on the board saving every penny to send Paul their motors and I really want to say something, but have held back. All that I can say is, beware, shop around, and ride some of each builders’ motors before sending your hard-earned cash (and that goes for any builder, not just LPW). Also, if the builders do not take a credit card, keep in mind that you have minimal recourse when problems occur.
