CANADA FREERIDE EVENT!

Wasaga is about 6 1/2 - 7 hours drive for the guys from Brockville. I wish I knew the land between Brockville and Toronto, I could have possibly made a more reasonable travel suggestion. There must be someone out that way. The Trent Severn would be good for us Eastern guys. I am with Mdavies on this one. I would definitely go to Brockville for an unofficial ride. The last time I went to Crystal Beach I rolled over just a shade past 1100 kms of total drive, not particularly interested in another 500 dollar fuel bill for a day and a half lol.

What about Sturgeon Lake? Lake Scugog? Kawartha Lakes area? Rice Lake? I know nothing of the area but it might be in the middle for everyone that will attend. Anyone ride in that area that can comment?...

I don't really have a preference on location, I'll be there wherever it is.

I cant see a random ride spot working in anyones favour. People don't like jetskiers to begin with I would rather go to a spot where someone rides and knows we can have a problem free weekend. You guys know dunville is next weekend right?

I do know a place for that, but no campground in that area, the closest one is about 5clicks away

@jbottomley4 what do you think? Host a ride at your place?

Hey id love to host a huge event at my place, but I'm not sure id have the room for it. However some neighbours would love it. Im going to rack my brain for a good spot in the area. I know the area well and there are a lot of good riding areas. Just off the top of my head: sandy beach (buckhorn), Otonabee river (peterborough), stony lake (lakefield), frenchman bay (pickering with beach to possibly camp at?? maybe illegal), little lake Beavermead campgrounds (peterborough where they have hosted "wake fast"). Ill think of more. We need a good spot for people to ask "they still make those?" and "where is the seat?" or "didn't they ban 2 strokes?"

Frankly, not everybody is going to be happy where ever it is.. Pick a darn spot and ride! Canuck summers don't last long! If the montreal boys said it would be good in Pickering, or peterborough then the western boys should also be onboard as its equal distance...

It's a pretty long drive for me also. Its closer than any other ride so I'm ok with driving several hours each way (4.5h each way) . I only suggested it because, its the spot that raised all the interest in the first place.

If we have one ride out east and one out west it balances it out... Just need the one out east : ). I agree with Sneds, lets do this July 25/26 as an unofficial Canadian free-ride. Everyone bring legal skis and we can just say its coincidence. If we behave and it goes good, maybe next year we push to make it official.
