Got a couple more little things done today. Port matched the manifold to the XS1000 and opened up the the Headpipe exit (keeping the oblong shape to help with the air flow around the bend.) Talked a little port work theory with my friends dad who has been in cylinder head design/porting for over 30 years. What a wealth of information! Also finished up the exit nozzle and will probably end up getting that powder coated when I get my chamber ceramic coated.

I couldn't find a head pipe gasket and want the head pipe to match the mani porting perfect. Could have eye-balled it, but I have plenty of time.

After all of the sanding and fixing of everything that wasn't right or had gotten wet.... The exterior will be ready for paint by the end of the week. I am picking up some carbon this week to add a little in the engine bay over the engine mounts, and inside front of the ski, along with under the pole bracket area.

Also sanded on the X metal pole to get that ready for paint, will wet sand it with 400 hopefully this week.

Back at school means thermal fluids, circuits, and dynamics! yay.
Break wasn't as ski productive as I may have liked being that christmas is crazy around the bakery.
Time to get the ball rolling spring is right around the corner...even if it is a large, cold, bend. it's coming!

Still aiming at having it painted and ready for assembly by the end of january.
Then the more exciting and pretty pics will be up.

until then, heres some ugly pics.

About ready to go off to paint, being that this was a full carbon hull pretty much ment for flatwater only and we like to ride bigger water(almost every weekend) we though it was a good idea to reinforce the inside with some more carbon, not only will it give us a added piece of mind, but It cleaned the way the engine compartment alot.

And for a small hull, it has a suprisingly large engine compartment

Yesterday I layed up a Quickie ride-plate mold, for my ski and to make one for the Bob. For thouse of you who have not had the pleasure of dealing with the Ski Clinic and the "Fine Fine" job they did building the Gen one's, They modified the rideplate area just enough to force you to buy there ride plate, and that would be fine, if they still sold them(thanks Ski Clinic) last year we busted the grinder and Drill out and made one out of a VXR Pro plate, It did work ok, However, we wanted everything to be right, So we are going to have to make a ride plate out of the mold, then cut it up, grind it down, and then make another mold , to make a proper rideplate, I think we are going to make a couple in different lengths for Flat water and Surf
