I've got dual 44s with my 701 and type 4 dry pipe on a previous race engine. Low end power is non existent but top end is crazy fast. Needing tuning info myself...

6M6 case with stock carb, upgrading to a 701 cylinder. What jets are people using? Searched this thread for "6m6" but didn't find anything. Not even sure what size carb the stock one was... I know the 701 single carbs used 44's. Will have Factory B-pipe.

Well, after reading through this thread I'm still not quite sure exactly what to start with. My motor came already built with a two SN package deal and it was claimed to have been purchased from some race team in Cali who no longer needed it. The motor does not appear to have been ran and looks very well built and ported. I pulled apart the carbs and everything looks like new. There were 110 pilots and 110 mains, with 1 turn out on all screws. I still have to get a popoff guage. Any recommendations on what to run with this setup? From what I have gathered from this thread, I should probably start with 115 pilots and 130 mains. Can anyone give me some additional information?

Setup:
Ported 62t/61x 701 with +1.5mm pistons (~730cc)
ADA girdled head with 195psi front and rear
Dual 44mm SBNs with Prok flame arrestors and Outerwears
R&D Drypipe - soon to have Jetworks injection kit, but will be tuned with no water injection at all
Modded stock waterbox - cut open and new baffle plate made with larger tubes
Solas 13/17 prop

Thanks

RPM max is 7230 T/min

The carb Setup is:
Low Jet= 110
High Jet= 140
Needle & Seat= 2.0
Spring= 95gr

Main Jet = 100 H
Pilot Jet = 115 L
Needle/Seat = 2.3
Spring = 80
Pilot screw = adj 7/8 turn out
Main Screw = adj 1 turn out

trying to understand this. using a 2.5 seat instead of the 2.3 would i be able to run say 110l/115h or is there something missing? it seems the bigger the seat the smaller the jet gets to a point. i am trying to dial my oem 44's. currently 1.5 seats w/ 110l, and 125h not reaching rpm potential nor the bottom end pull.
