I finally dialed in my carb today so I updated my original post (#51). Needless to say I learned alot. Goes to show that every ski is different because my jetting don't match any that I found on here. Mine liked high popoff which ended up around 30psi which was the ticket for getting rid of the "gurgle" at low speed. Went back to my stock flame arrestor as well.

Seriuosly guys come on on this 10 sec run thing
Unless its a full on massive compression engine that making huge hp
You shouldnt have to worry about a 10sec run
thik about the race engines that get built and they get run hard all the time

Great thread but keep in mind that even though you might have the exact same motor setup as someone else ,their jetting system might not work for you .

Certainly a good starting point for ideas though .

I noticed that a few people have real similar setups as me but I'm jetted differently then them .

here's mine

Or is there a page on the specs on what turns do what for the pipe

Help with dual 44 Mikuni

I have a Juperjet Rius Racing edition, engine is 760, Mach 2 Exhaust and 38 carbs.
I have just installed two Mikuni 44 carbs coming from a blaster, also new 44 R&D mainfold + Spacer + Boyensen reeds.
I am crazzy with the carbs tuning. But I am not sure what can be the problem: It looks there is no fuel after some seconds...

When I go slow and I acelerate it is very fast but after 4 or 5 seconds of big aceleration it loose power and I need to decelerate, If I go slowly for some seconds I can aceleraste again faster. If I go medium speed I can´t accelerate faster, I need to reduce throte and speed. I can´t go fast, engin do not take hi RPM.
Specs:
Brand = Mikuni
Model = (From Blaster760)
Size = 44mm
Quantity = 2
Pilot Jet = 115
Main Jet = 135
Needle/Seat = ?????? What is this????
Spring = ?????? What is this????
L Screw = 2 ( I test dif. positions)
H Screw = 2 ( I test dif. positions)
- - - - - -
Gas Octane = 98
Altitude = Sea level
Main type of riding = fast speed
Would it pass the 10 second WOT test =?????? What is this????
Powerband = now bad.
Motor type/setup = 760
Boyensen reeds
Match II, stock CDI,
R&D 44 intake manifold + spacer, single standard signal lines (Y)/ single standar fuel lines (Bypass between cabs).

Thanks. Marcos

That was a freakin awesome post BK. Does anyone know if dome size or the ignition system (total loss vs. stock) affect where the screws should be? If so, how?

Finally got my superjet running with vForce 3 reeds. Spent a lot of time fighting these reeds and stuffer in my set up. Hopefully this will help someone else tuning with these reeds/stuffers with a similar set up. Finally with the specs below, it seems to be running pretty well.

Stock 62t case/61x cylinder.
35cc dome R&D head
Factory b-pipe
stock 38 mm carbs
vForce 3 reeds with stuffers
MSD enhancer
Tau ceti flame arresters with outerwears

80 pilot jet
135 main jet
48 psi pop off

low speed 1 turn
high speed 1.25 turn

93 octane gas

I used to have Carbon Tech reeds with a reed spacer. Only difference is the pilot jet was a 70 and 1 turn out on the low speed.
