Coffman Sizzler setup and tuning

Ok, I think coffman recommended red because it has higher heat tolerance.
SJ manual calls for blue loctite, the coffman instructions have in capslock to use red.
Wish they were on the same page haha

The coffman rocket exhaust maybe, but the sizzler doesn't vibrate much and is pretty light.

I don't use any Loctite. I use Mobil 1 Synthetic wheel bearing grease and have had no issues. I usually check over my drive train more than others though I think. Haven't noticed an issue with fastener security though. If you feel better about using Loctite but don't wanna use Red have you tried the Green? Good luck.

the Coffman's has a couple of great sweet spots with 701-760 engines, its secret lays in the water restriction and will differ with water routing dual or single... also head pipes differ with 2 or 3 pissers.
From my experience >> The pipe itself should not be dried out so much that pipes actually sizzles , a good starting point for dual cooling is to restrict head approx. 4 mm and the stinger side approx. 3 mm. ( if you don't have a flow control valve ).
Our jetting was always run with a 1.5 N/S which seemed to work better than the Coffman's suggested 2.0 N/S, but we also had a higher pilot and main.

We have a sizzler on a square. It hits just as hard a B pipe. Buzzard do you have any b1 dry pipes from coffmans? I had one years ago and would like to locate one again

Just recently purchased a coffman sizzler off a board member for my second hull build. i didnt realize it at first but the tail cone I got was kawi (5 ribs). I keep reading that the longer the cone the more low end hit. Is this the case with this tail cone ? Any past experiences with running the kawi tail cone on a 701?
I am also looking to buy two new couplers for the pipe does anyone have any suggestion on where to order from? Thanks

I switched over to the longer tail cone, raised my pilot from a 127.5 to a 130, and added a FCV. Night and day difference. As of right now I am very happy with the hit. Might even be done modding her.. for now.. :)
