Pull off cooling lines from bulkhead and run bilge pump.
You do have a bilge pump in your surf ski right..
Do you realize how stupid that idea is?

Zack, you are the one sinking your friends boats lolDo you realize how stupid that idea is?
James is that valve brass or steel.............hard to tell from picThe quick connects don't work well. They end up wearing out and getting chitty. I tried that first last year. Plastic isn't the way to go.
I feed my engine from one pump line and my pipe from the other pump line. So all I need is one valve to shut the feed to the pipe.
Depending on your hull and if you can fit your hand above your engine coupler cover this thing fits fine. Wrap it in a turf taco with a zip tie and you're good.

Would be nice to have a hatch in the tray just over the pump tunnel area. Foam the rest of the tray if you want but leave an access door to an open area around the cooling lines and grate inserts etc.. You could put valves and tow rope under there for quick access. One way drain plumbed to the rear of ski. Think of a floor hatch in a fishing or wakeboard boat but smaller and turfed.
You guys with the underhood disconnect ideas are over complicating things...LOL
Handy tools to have around anyways.
By the time id use those the wing nuts would be rusted

I was thinking the same thing. I like the idea of the valve you posted or tape a mini screwdriver to a hose which would enable you to remove hose from head to the pipe. This would not allow the cooling system to pressurize and a bilge or scupper would take care of minimal water intake.By the time id use those the wing nuts would be rusted

Dont do that @tightithrash will call you names lolor tape a mini screwdriver to a hose which would enable you to remove hose from head to the pipe.
I think @Proformance1 uses a version of these that are stainless?Just use Quick Connectors, reverse the direction of them. Then disconnect and connect the two incoming water lines. You are blocking them off that way.
<--------- Use these. You can get them thru Hotproducts.
