Crabs X2 winter buildup

As in lord mount you mean the one up by the stinger. Or do you mean the mount on the exhaust manifold?

I have a FPP exhaust manifold I am going to use and don't want to go cutting it up :(

I don't think the FPP manifold is going to work. The indexing of the head pipe mating flange differs from stock and throws the head pipe into the hull.
To get the Blaster Mod pipe to fit in mine I used a WC manifold (same indexing as OEM) and cut the lord mount on the manifold to clear the chamber. The OEM indexing and cutting the lord mount seem to be the common fix to get the Blaster Limted and SJ Limited chambers to fit.

I hear ya but the FPP manifold is just like a 650 one. It isn't the one you are thinking of for a 750 Mod Pipe that is cocked sidewas some at the three bolt top. It is the manifold in the middle. My manifold looks just like a stock 650 one.

I have one just like in the auction and XiR pic.

Got ya.....forgot those existed. You might actually be in luck without having to cut the lord mount. Looking at the auction pictures the lower portion of the lord mount is already contoured almost EXACTLY the way I had to grind my WC manifold down to make it fit.

I doubt it, the Blaster chamber rises up right from the start forcing you to loose all the lord mount and slightly dent the chamber to fit, even then its really tite to the manifold and hull.

Not sure thats going to work, my wb is a beeitch.

I really need to proof read before posting ;)

I meant to say that I had to install the waterbox and tank before the chamber.

And I also doubt any of the lord mount would be able to remain. It is a really tight fit.

Got the new starter in, installed the pipe, waterbox, and front cover. The fuel tank went in easier than ever for some reason, better than with the SJ chamber and it clears the tank better. It sounds about the same as with the other one but looks twice as menacing...........:highhorse::brap: Also, the way my waterbox sits in there helps stabilize the whole setup and there is almost no movement if you yank on the pipe. I have not tried to put the hood back on, but nothing a grinder wont fix.......

I had to modify the aft air vent ...chopped it with a high speed cutting wheel then glass it over...so it was still serviceable...:beerchug:

My take on the Blaster chamber, first off the powerband is definatly lower. I noticed it pulled hard but seemed to stop pulling earlier than with the SJ chamber, leaving some on the table (won't really know without my tach) . I think I need to increase pump pressure as it is making more bottom end torque now, the SJ chamber seems to make the power more mid to top by comparison. The plan now is to take off the short pump cone and go back to the long stocker, and perhaps reduce the water screws from 4-1.5-0 to 2-.5-0 and get a little more sizzle as there is none now. Either way, I think both pipes work great and require some fine tuning for your particular setup, I will keep tuning until I am satisfied there is no more to be had.

So do you plan on running the Blaster or SJ chamber? and does the blaster chamber hit harder on the bottom?
I think so, only by adding more prop or pressure in the pump will I be able to tell for sure, it acts like its almost just spinning the prop a little. Thats a characteristic of more power being put down, ask Suva. There is the possibility that the old combination worked better with my exhaust porting, but I really won't be able to tell for certain until I fiddle with it some more.

Well...................found out I got into the gravel at Greyland so the leading and trailing edges of the prop needed some attention, that explains the slight vibration I felt yesterday, and perhaps why it was not feeling right.

I can't wait to get in the water...last year I could never tell because the hull was so waterlogged...but can't wait to get the skinny on this thing
