Building hulls is a bussiness just like any other. You need to make a profit in order to survive. I so happens that I actually "love " building these hulls so the hard work is overlooked by the feeling of achievement. Everyone of the custom hulls that leaves my shop to the customer takes a part of me with it.

There are three factors you cannot consider together when building hulls:
strong, light and cheap!!If it's strong and light then it ain't cheap!!

IMO , I think a lighter hull makes more of a difference than adding horsepower.

I also offer financing : Visa, MC AMEX DIS etc... Many of the CC companies offer o interest for 6 to 12 months!! You can't beat that if you pay it off in time

seriously though.... some type of financing through a financial institution would be cool. People just don't like to slap 2-4k on a CC... well, I don't.

Is something like that possible?? I suppose it would be no different than going to the bank yourself and getting a loan, except it would be done there. Then you have the fact that most people probably don't pick up the hulls, they are probably shipped, so that offers no real advantage, I guess.. I don't know... just thinking out loud..

Wow, that was a little harsh? Actually, I ran my own business for about 15 years. In fact, I still own it, but don't actually run it. I would like to think my post has some validity.

Doug

OK... So I asked how old you were and you didn't say a peep. I was in another post and see this:

25. When I tell people I'm special, no one belives me I'm a NEW YEARS BABY! Yayyyyyy! 1/1/1981

Doug

How the hell do you expect people to respect what you say when you are a lying idiot? What the hell type of business did you run? A paper route? Mowing elderly people's lawns? A little league umpire? Come on guy. Listen to Powder and just stop making senseless posts in every topic where you try to sound like you know everything. Geeeeez.... "Kids" :banghead: :banghead:

I will address this professionally. First of all, I didn't even see your post. Second of all, I've owned a landscaping business since I was 10 years old. No joke. I am 25 years old currently. Hence I've owned the business for 15 years. At 10 years old the business wasn't super big but as time went on, customer base grew, employees grew, services grew, etc. Currently I don't do the actual work. It's still in the family but I have subbed it out to another landscaper whom I've grown to know over the years. I'm not going to sit here and brag to anyone, but let's just say I have a lot to show for your 'average' 25 year old.

So---you got ten years of tax records to prove it? How about employee records and taxes for them---after all you had to at least hire a driver to shuttle you from job to job. I think you're stretching it a little bit by claiming to be in business since you were ten. There's quite a difference between running a landscaping business and simply mowing a few neighbors' lawns.

Address it as professionally as you want, we needed a good laugh. :arms:

Aren't there child labor laws for 10 year olds owning a business? Just because you mow a few lawns doesn't make you a business owner. Did you have a Tax ID at 10 years old? :sneaky: I didn't think so. You can say whatever you want in this post and others but just be aware people see right through you... and you look like a fool. :cheer: And please brag. I know if I owned a business for 15 years I'd have a lot to show and brag about :hail: Mowing lawns and doing landscaping is a business and is work BUT it doesn't compare to designing, selling and marketing a hull. :highhorse: Thanks for the laugh; I'll disappear for a while now.

BTW…. I am not singling you out, you were pointed out by a friend who knows I live for this kind of stuff.

ps: Cuándo usted paga mí no me informo al INS.

pss: no need to respond, I hate going back and forth with people who THINK they know it all and this thread has already been jacked enough.
