the pics do it justice, lol. there are many flaws in my work but i am not picky. Really this is the most composite work i have done and don't have any fancy tooling or a ton of experience but i think it should work. i would never sell anything i make, haha.

I did a little body work this morning and then onto the turf. I didn't try to finish it all because i know how that would turn out. I will do the front of the tray and the last tray side another day. I am hoping to do a simple yamaha decal on the back sides and the reg. # on the hood. dark red.

getting this close to completion is giving me the spring fever for sure. I should finish the turf, find a nose thingy, install the waterbox and tank all this week so i can weigh it. me and fellows picked it up today and it felt...kinda light but not real light. haha. i think i am over 280lbs.

ah, the only decal i can proudly sport on my ski......j/k. I am actually happy with all the various parts that make my ski not a yamaha. my grips where so cool when they where white but now they are grungy so i am turfing them. i will never have to buy grips again. yes.

I finished the side tray, front panel, and grips. I had to pull the starter motor for some servicing before i go putting my tank and waterbox in. I can install that stuff tommorrow is suppose. I need to install a nose thingy. After that I should be able to weigh it to find out if it is still lighter than stock. no gas but ready to go.

I got the ski back together and should be rideable with some gas. i am not sure if i want to actually order some versiplug drains or just put in some drain plugs. the versiplugs would be ideal but then i got to order some and wait and pay shipping, etc. I am pretty sure i will do the thread in plugs and just pull it after the ride to drain. That way has worked for me in the past. I also think duckbills will rip off and that would be a waste. The snow is melting big time this week so i should be able to dig out the beach dolly parts. that should be a fun project.

I borrowed my friends scale today, and man would you guess the weight. 280lbs. haha. i was hoping to be under that, but it is what it is. Its not a super light setup, but i think lighter then stock, and its got alot more power. It "should" work pretty good. Its not a surf tank and not a flatwater backflipper but hopefully a great ski to rip on. i really want to go try it and find out how it feels.
