My hood latch popped open on saturday and josh had to tow me in. Water ingestion, had to roll the ski on the beach to get it running again... always a PITA!

I couldn't figure out how my latch had come open so I ignored it and rode sunday. I didn't figure it out until I was flushing ski on sunday and started putting all the broken parts from my bilge in my hood, then I noticed the hood receptacle is partially torn out of my WDK hood. I was doing backies with it like that on sunday! glad the hood stayed in place, installing new maniac strap today, I am done with latches.

I had extra metallic noise that developed on sunday second ride. When I came in I saw the the battery box had broken and was fishing pieces of it from the bilge when I discovered the kawi dampener had grenaded all over the bilge. I guess back flip to sandbar didn't help! Kenny keepers are bent, but surf bomber nose doesn't ever have a crack.

Left Daytona with major trailer carnage, returned to shop carnage from leaving....

Crap. So, surgery? Like I said, at least it happened in the winter - you have time to recover before the ride season gets going for real.

Knees are the worst things to injure - hope the painkillers are working!

Yea I see the bright side too. I had a killer session on that left buoy Friday before it happened so I'm grateful!

This is my first knee injury ever. Sucks to have to get cut in to for the first time ever. But airgramps and all you others assured me I will be ripping again soon!
