Anytime I am going to sell something, I ask for an e-mail, then tell the buyer to only communicate about the item through that e-mail. If they ask questions via PM, I tell them to reply to the e-mail. I also resend all related pictures even if posted in the origional thread. I state all items and the condtion of the items. I don't simply say carb for sale and a generic picture. I retake pictures to include the specifics of the deal, list each loose nut and bolt. If I am selling a carb, I take a picture of the carb with a ruler to the throat. Don't complain I said it's a 44mm and it's a 42. The picture would show if I miss measured, it's the buyers fault for not taking a moment to check my work. I make it clear that all purchases are final and that it's the buyers responsibility to make sure they know the details of the deal. I'll take 20 pictures of the item if the buyer asks. I'm not trying to make a living. I just don't like throwing good parts in the trash.
My point is... Sending a picture of the carbs attached to the manifold is lazy. Take a moment and reshoot the picture before you agree to a sale. It's not a very big deal. Also, list the final details of the deal in an e-mail (PMs have a max limit, e-mails can be saved) and tell them not to send payment until after they agree. I don't even let buyers have payment info until I know they have enough info on the item and understand what they are buying. It's costs a few sales, but saves a lot in buyers remorse.
