Did you silicone your handle pole bracket, I forgot to, and water sits up there and trickles in. Skis are gonna get water in them, in the bilge, and under the tray, just how it is. I like that an open firewall allows water to move front to back, but a bad supper could easily sink your ski, that's why I chose against one.

Yes its siliconed but the water entry is from somewehre below the bond line, only when sitting in the water, not when riding. I'm also against scupper, especially in surf

The versaplug doesn't seal perfect. That might be where water is trickling in when it sits. I don't even have a bilge pump in my ski, just 1 large versaplug. My ski kinda floats when sunk. I don't float around on it or leave it in the water. Has never been a problem the way I ride.

Decent amount of water stays in

Pick up the front of the ski and drain it out?

That's how much is left after I've tipped it. The drains aren't at the lowest point in the bulkhead. I would have to tilt the ski to the side to get the water to get into the side with the drain plug, which isn't happening as this is a heavy ski lol. I used a hose and siphoned the remainder out. Maybe I'll patch the unused hole eventually.

versa plugs will let water in when sitting in water when the surf is flowing back and forth. sealing the hole on the firewall isn't going to help you keep water out of the hull. you can get the micro drains from Thrust. you can fit one at the lowest point under the exhaust outlet. works great on mine.

Great idea on the micro drain! I will do that. The water came in dead calm water, not surf.

Wow, just went through the whole 12 pages. Dud needs to spend more time in surf molesting that SV1 than massaging fingers on the keyboard ;)
