There was no way in hell these tubes were fitting in these small holes. Had to grinddddddd

Ski ran great! RRP steering keeps coming loose no matter what i tried, assuming I need new bearings, and I need to cut about 4" off the tubes. Other than that, the sv1 proves to be a very stable and surf oriented hull. Slashing waves is a blast, and it doesn't drag me underwater like a superjet would. Ski really pops off waves making re entries a blast. Need more weight towards the front and that should help bring the nose down a bit coming off the wave. Hull proved worthy in choppy conditions. Very happy. As soon as my health insurance kicks in Jan 1, i will be going for my first backie :D
Things I need to do:
Smaller battery so it doesnt pinch hose
Shock pad for hood
Cut tubes
FIx steering
More tray time!

Good pics. U had that ski stuffed down in the wave face on two pics...that hull must pop up good. Nice riding too.

A question for those with an sv1. In the bulkhead I have 2 different size drain holes (or so I thought). I have one Versi plug on the left, (smaller hole), and a larger one on the right. I notice that when rinsing the engine compartment, I'll get 90% of the water out with the drain valve but then the rest of the water seems to drain back into the engine compartment from the larger hole in bulkhead. So it appears that hole isn't connected to a drain but only runs in the rear tray ? Also when sitting in water, I can see a slow stream of water coming in possibly from that area.
Larger hole under steering cable outlet

looks like your tray is an open design. Guessing 2 holes to let water flow out of engine bay then the versiplug is suppose to remove it. Your not going to get all the water out. If it is just a small amount, I wold not worry about it.

That makes sense. Would I be better off just plugging the larger one since it doesn't appear to be connected to the drain?

My dvx is the same way. The tray is just an open compartment without scupper tubes. I have a pump dump scupper on the right and a rear exiting scupper on the left. Pretty cool design I think.

There is no PVC Scupper Tube that I can see. Just open cavity. Leave like it is.
Whats the benefit of having it open if it only holds extra water? Im a little OCD and would prefer water not sit in the engine bay if it can easily prevented.
Other thing is a slow leak coming from somewhere on the same side as opening when in the water. When I get done riding theres no water, only when sitting. Kind of hard to narrow it down now since its all put together. Maybe its the drain plug?
