Different Kind of Build

Thursday l received my final house inspection from our glorious city gods. Been a long road (started back in late november 2023) and still have a lot of finish work. Setting up my garage (pics coming), painting doors, getting the laundry area set up too. Whole list of stuff. But l’m moved in and so far enjoying the new place. Going to finish everything up this winter and then back to drinking and hanging out at the lake…

Packed full of stuff!
Bk is right, it is packed. Saturday, l finished some shelving and moved a bunch of totes to the shelves. That made the pile smaller.
So far, l have rearranged 3 times and will do more before l’m done.

Thanks speedracer! One pic shows a large table in the middle of the shop. ln the processs yesterday of cleaning off all the junk on it and cutting a foot off width wise. My son asked me to build one for him to work on when we do upholstery jobs. But it’s just too dam big. Like the elephant in the room size. And also will be making a storage area underneath for more . That will give more space too. l also like this idea l saw on fb. You can make them in any configuration. l bought a bunch of 27 gal totes when l moved. Can possibly put them to good use. May not be @OCD Solutions quality, but l think it work great.

May possibly update this thread from time to time, but for now l am moved in and getting ready for some winter inside projects. l have shelf’s to build, some small trim jobs, and staining and finishing the 8 knotty pine doors. Already have the door hardware. No doubt, there are other small things to do.

I have also seen those in several tik tock reels and have seen the plans online for them , eventually I am going to have to build one , I like the concept but I am torn between that setup and rails that mount them to the ceiling , I could do either here . I am sure I can build something much cheaper than those brackets out of wood or possibly use metal wall studs like in the link below . I am thinking those studs put back to back and riveted or screwed together would be fairly strong .
