What did you have in it before ? ie what ignitionYes to all three questions. I did exactly as you are wanting to do with no issues and no carb tuning. I even ground the lump off the flywheel with it still in the ski. Now the system is on a 950 Dasa going in a RIP.
That’s all you’d have to do. They work great. You may do a little tuning but not much. Depends on how much timing you put into it.Hey all, I've been reading up to page 13 or so. But let me get this straight. I'm running a Yamaha 760 64x in my superjet and so for me to run this, I would have to take a lump out of my fly wheel, then plus 12v direct to the box, and plug the rest in and roll. Would I have to do any extra carb tuning or anything? Thanks. I'll keep reading but wanted to flat out ask this.
Wax I pulled this ignition out of a b2 I bought just for parts. The DASA is new to me as well... it had a 61x ignition when I got it but I never ran it.What did you have in it before ? ie what ignition
I'd go basic with the wax curve. My motor is stock other than a b pipeThat’s all you’d have to do. They work great. You may do a little tuning but not much. Depends on how much timing you put into it.
as long as it's jetted up for the b-pipe, you may have to open highs/lows a tad depending on how it runs.. it's alike anything else.. you'll have to fine tune it, but it will probably run ok as it is if you aren't on the edge alreadyI'd go basic with the wax curve. My motor is stock other than a b pipe
Any progress with getting the brain plug and play with a MSD setup? New ski has a nice full MSD TL system in it but if/when the brain takes a crap I would like a cheaper replacement option!
Nice! Hopefully my MSD doesnt take a crap on me until you guys finish testing =DHey man, well yes and no.
My buddy got the brain for 2 channel (for hall sensors) and have to adapt the hall sensors to MSD pickup plate.
But i think that will be in the start of 2019. He is waiting on a new hull. Dont think he is gonna try it in the old hull
Just as an FYI. Do NOT use the SB Products billet flywheel cover. They aren’t made correctly and you’ll be buying a new stator and pick up.
760 for sure. Possibly any set up as the area where the wires come they the case is too close to the flywheel and it will hit the wires.
Been there, mine was a bolt in the stator that backed out.Pulled everything apart looking for the issue. Smh. Set my build back 1/2 day
Damn dude that sucksPulled everything apart looking for the issue. Smh. Set my build back 1/2 day
Anyone had a nice backfire yet with a zeel? just finished building 2nd ski 760 started probably 10times on stand over a few days.. today started fine on stand, then on trailer... put in water and the second it hit the start boom... yeah, i'll be beating the waterox back and welding it up.. this is how my enhancer acted when it was going bad...
