Dude!!! Remember talking about that!!! The torque would be insane!!
The torque
IS insane. At this point, I'm just running the (electric) Blaster2 in the tank with different voltage, battery, and impeller combinations to gather data. Initially, the thrust levels are very good, the battery life is so-so, and the weight will depend on what we consider to be an acceptable range.
I've designed some really cool stuff (to an engineer, anyway) to make an electric PWC safe. We're talking about
A LOT of current, much more than you would want to experience while standing in salt water. Safety is one of the paramount concerns, equal to performance level.
We should be in the water within 5-6 weeks (the water is still really cold here in NJ) with the Blaster2, and a couple of weeks later with the SX-R.
