That's sick for a 4x4!!
Here's my 2/4 drop on 20s. 2wd.
I like it! I had to bring my front up a inch because I was rubbing to bad due to having way too low of a offset on my wheels. And I need helper bags in the rear now too, with a ski in the back it's slapping the axle on dips in the road.

Do I like trucks?!?! Dam strait I do! Here's a pic of my 98 last summer. Its down 5" in front and 6" with helper bags in the rear. Makes loading the skis or motorcycles for trackdays much easier. I also have a 78 short/stepside that I've had since high school. It has a 388 with a muncie M20 and is also lowered 5" front and back. IMG_1631.jpg

Truck1.jpg Since you guys snuck a few lowered trucks in, here's mine. 1998 S10 SS. It's been complete since in 01, except the sub box rebuild back in 2012. These days its a garage queen that hauls my skis to the ramp during riding season. In fact, it just turned 80k a few weeks ago. It's got full air ride, handful of go fast goodies, and I even made my own side skirt kit since I didn't want to butcher it up for a body drop. I used to go to the drag strips for test n tune nights with old coworkers and ran a best of 7.6sec 1/8 mile and a 12.7sec 1/4 mile with a 100 shot of NO2. It was fun beating guys in their trailered "race cars" with a little pickup truck.
2012-04-02_23-12-58_362.jpg As far as the stereo goes. Its got Image dynamic compression horn components up front. Kicker KX series amps, and Fi subs. Right around 3000w rms and is almost 148db. Could probably hit the 150 mark if I cut the port down, and added a few structural supports, but it plays nice and deep and I'm not chasing a number. Just had to one-up my buddy @SomeDonnieDude a few years back. Haha..Scotts 8X pics 404.jpg

They should have put the v8 in them, but oh well. I just sold my Silverado SS at the end of last year and regret it everyday lol.

I'm not sure on the s10's what was done. And the cyclones were fast for the technology at the time. I think a S10 with a Ls2 or even a 5.3 would be fun. I'm pretty sure you can get a Colorado with a 5.3. My wife has a envoy Denali with a 5.3 in it and it pulls pretty Damn hard on the stock tune.

4.8 is just a base Ls v8, with a tune and long tubes they'll walk a stock 6.0 truck. Not saying the 4.3 is a bad motor I'm just a v8 guy.

No. The cyclons proved that.
Are you sure the SS is a vortec v6? Yes I know its a 4.3 but didn't it come with a one off fuel injection setup special to the SS?
I think they just trademarked the name vortec and slapped that emblem on everything in the late 90's/ early 2000's. The 95-97 SS's had the original vortec intake worth 210hp. In 98 they switched to that spider injection pack with hoses and dropped to 190hp. It is the same system my wifes 2000 Astro van had. That is why it was more common to spray a wet nitrous kit, then turbo or supercharge them. The fuel injection system is kind of inferior for adding boost. I haven't had my bottle certified and filled for years. If I want a quick thrill, I can hitch a ride in my brothers '14 GTR. As I get older, its just nice to have good running vehicles that can get my skis to the water and back.:)
