ive never had a problem with my brakes honestly.. and ive ridden in muddy, wet trails covered in stumps, rocks, tight twistie turns, etc... discs are for hi-speed.. but whatever, its all good...

oh cool... honestly I have never had a bike w/ them... I just figured for an extra 80$ it would be worth it... maybe not, I have not ridden in crappy stuff yet

If I come to Daytona, I will bring my Haro. I hardly ever ride it anymore but I can show you guys a thing or two on a skate park.

I used to ride with some friends that were insanely good. There could qualify for BMX/X-Games comps but they were liek the rest of us and had to grow up and get jobs. As good as they were I saw them break a lot of bones and get knocked out on a regular basis. One is in the Navy now and the other almsot has a Phd in Mechanical Engineering. I guess they didn't turn out too bad. I will post up my cheesy You Tube video later, work blocks it :(

Sorry to hijack the thread but here is my Haro and a little goofing off on a rail. When I was younger I rode BMX all the time dirt jumping, street, or parks/ramps. Needless to say I though I was fat weighing a buck fiffty. 75 pounds on top of that, I will admit it, I am a FAT @$$ Onc I get moved to Alabama it is diet/gym all the time. Gotta get me a trophy wife somehow...

Nah that was weak. I am ashamed to even post crap like that. Here is a pic or two from my old days. We used build dirt jumps in the woods on those old grown up baseball field. Then A-Holes would always show up whenwe weren't around on quads or dirt bikes thinking it was an MX track and rut everything up. Pusses couldn't ride on a real MX track and our jumps were weak compared to the local MX track. The yellow bike I have now is the same model Haro I had back then. I beat my old one up, back then, and the mail order company had them on sale for like 25 bucks, frame forks, headset, stem ect. I bought one as a spare and it hung on the basement wall with the dirt bike plastic on it. Too bad I never put the chain saw engine in it. You wouldn't like it anyways because it is a two banger.. lol Those were the days, if I could only go back... This grown up working stuff sucks! Plus I can't ride near as well as I did. I didn't care to get hurt then. Now I am like yeah I would rather not break a bone...

So Emm get a bike, it will remind you of being a kid again. I ma with you, bikers on the road tick me off. I ride on the side walk, f them. Back home in West Virginia and also here in Pennsylvania there is this deal called rails to trails. The counties pulled up the old rail road tracks and made walking/biking trails. They are usually a light grade/incline because they were designed that way originally for the trains. They are a good place to bike/walk since they resurfaced the trails with pea gravel. I know in WV there was one like 30 some miles long. I walked half of it an was in the next town. I called a friend there to come pick me up. Took me way too long to walk there, I wasn't walking home!

I think it is on You Tube! But I can't see You Tube at work :( You need a bike of sorts and someone to ride with. It does remind me a lot of being a kid again. Cracks me up when riding and I see little kinds on their bikes. They are always impressed even though I didn't do anything spectacular.

Hey Nick, you may want to look at changing tires to either full slicks or a simi-slick tires. The full treaded tires really create a lot of drag when riding on the road.
