Wow, still hasn't stopped raining. It's been raining almost continuous since Tuesday morning. Crazy. No big deal for me because I didn't buy a house where it floods. I'm feeling some pain of those who bought in wet areas.

Any boil water notices for Cocoa Beach?

The eye became stalled mostly, so we are taking a beating flood wise in areas.

...tropical Storm Warning Remains In Effect...
...flooding Continues Across Portions Of Brevard County...
...high Wind Gusts And Torrential Rain Will Spread Inland Today...

...new Information...
Bands Of Torrential Rains Have Continued To Rotate Across Eastern
Orange And Northern Brevard Counties During The Last Several Hours.
Radar Estimates Indicate 2 To 4 Inches Have Fallen Since 11 Pm. As
Fay Tracks Slowly Inland Today...the Threat For Additional Flooding
Will Be High To Extreme Across Much Of Central Florida As
Additional Rainbands Form Near And South Of The Storm Center.

Weather Radars Are Indicating Wind Gusts Of 60 To 70 Mph At A Few
Thousand Feet Above The Ground Along And Offshore Voluisa And
Brevard Counties. A Few Wind Gusts Of This Intensity Will Be
Possible This Morning...mainly Near The Coast In Squalls. If Gusts
Of This Strength Reach The Ground...they Will Be The Strongest Yet
Associated With Fay Across East Central Florida And Will Produce
Localized Wind Damage.

...areas Affected...
This Statement Recommends Actions To Be Taken By Persons In The
Following Coastal Counties...saint Lucie...indian River...
Brevard...and Volusia Counties.

...inland Flooding...
At 345 Am Edt...national Weather Service Doppler Radar Showed
Heavy Rain Bands Continuing To Rotate Around The Southwest Side Of
The Center Of Tropical Storm Fay And Across Eastern Orange And
Northern Brevard County. Doppler Radar Estimates Indicate Three To
Five Inches Of Rainfall Has Fallen In These Areas Since Late
Wednesday Evening...and Additional Amounts Of One To Three Inches
Will Be Possible Through Sunrise.

Additionally...there Remains The Potential For This Band To Expand
Or Extend Farther Southward Later This Morning Through Brevard
County. Previously Flooded Areas Will Be Slow To Drain...even In
Absence Of Additional Heavy Rainfall.

An Additional 4 To 8 Inches Of Rain Will Be Possible Across
Portions Of Central Florida By Late Friday. Even Far From The
Center And After Passage Of The Tropical Storm...conditions Will
Remain Favorable For Bands Of Heavy Rainfall To Develop And Persist
For Several Hours With Torrential Tropical Rain Rates. Residents
Throughout East Central Florida Should Not Let Their Guard Down
Concerning The Flood Threat During The Next Several Days.

...winds...
Tropical Storm Force Winds...mainly In Gusts...will Continue
Today. The Strongest Winds Will Occur Near The Circulation
Center Of Fay...along The Coast Of Northern Brevard And Volusia
Counties. Wind Gusts Between 40 And 50 Mph Will Be Common...especially
From Osceola And Brevard Counties Northward. A Few Wind Gusts As
High As 70 Mph Will Be Possible This Morning...especially Within
Squalls Near The Volusia And Brevard Coast. Further To The South
Across Indian River And Saint Lucie Counties...winds Will Be
Somewhat Lower But Still With Gusts To Tropical Storm Strength Of
40 Mph In Squalls. Winds Should Begin To Lessen By Late Today As
Fay Moves Farther Inland And Weakens.

...tornadoes...
There Will Be A Low Threat For An Isolated Tornado Across Volusia
And Lake Counties Today. If A Tornado Does Develop...it Should Be Brief
And Short Lived.

...storm Surge And Storm Tide...
High Surf Will Continue This Morning North Of Cape Canaveral.
Storm Tide Waters May Run 2 To 3 Foot Above Normal Near The Time
Of High Tide Between 11 Am And Noon. Storm Surge Concerns Will Be
Highest Along The Northern Volusia Coast...where Continued Onshore
Winds Are Creating Long Duration Pounding Surf. Significant Beach
Erosion Remains A Concern.

The Effects Of Storm Tide Waters Will Be Minimal South Of Cape
Canaveral For The Remainder Of The Event Associated With Tropical
Storm Fay.

Any wj's planning on doing a dawn patrol...you have high rip currents. The entire EAST COAST does up to you, with Extreme for a good sector north/south of Myrtle Beach. Savannah Scott, your crew has rip currents as well. :)fing02:Hero)

Just talked to my daughter and my street and backyard is still flooded but is starting to reseed.
:arms:

Minimal water inside the house,:wall: but there was a puddle on the floor infront of the fireplace. The walls are not wet ,she said, so i dont know how water came through the bricks?

The worst is over for south brevard. Hope you guys in north FL do OK.:crutches: Much love and good luck to the ST.Auge and Daytona crew.

Probably came down in from the metal part on your roof and down the flute. Happand to me a few years back and I thought my roof was bad. You probably just need to get up there and use some of that 30 year caulk.

This storm needs to either get outa here or move a couple hundred miles east.

She's moving north now (barely)...then west. It's the water level you need to keep an eye on (and whether you are under a water boil...if you aren't now, you could be later due to the storm being so slow.

Wealth of info to follow here:

(Felix...you know I have to rag any/all stang owners, lol, just the way it is! I'm sorry for your water issues. Scott, that vid you posted was cool!)

I understand Auggie has somewhere between 10-15’ surf (you can watch it on a link below) decreasing up toward Savannah with something a bit smaller 9-12’ if memory serves. There are still deadly/extreme rip tides (especially now with high tide) in certain locales. There are plenty of water boils already in effect, and they will only increase in the hardest hit sectors from Port St. Lucie up the entire coast northward since the rain is not going to stop. Remember watches and warning are different. If you are were under a warning and now a watch, you can very easily go back to a warning…so please keep checking. Stay safe!

Clipped from latest report, but know that there are still sustained winds of 60 mph (with higher gusts closer to the eye wall) within feeder bands which will move onto the coast throughout her inland pursuit.

yeah... pretty sad that they didn't understand what they were playing with...

Good choice of wording Nick…I like it this time (props)! :woot:

I think with the next storm that rolls in (don’t count this one out), we can ALL (everyone in Florida) offer informative/educational data to help our buddies out, thereby keeping our fellow jet-skiers safe. THEN, we can all get in the surf and have A TOTAL BLAST WITH IT …cuz this just simply bites big drone ants here!

We have a great crew of people here in Florida…each and every one!!!

Pamela, I will see if I can assist you by pleading with these boyz down here to hand-write a short note to Lil Mason…watch out boyz…(I’ll pester the living daylights outta em lady, lol...promise…:Banane37:...anything for that small child)! I’ll hit up females in different states too……asking them to pm their boyz…that should take some pressure off of you! It’s always good to delegate (learned that a long time ago)!

TEAMWORK… IS ALWAYS BEST!
