We had to leave our house and go inland. The water was over the bulk head, in the video thats the only way in and out from our house and its only getting deeper.

What causes the flooding? Is it the storm surge? We don't have that phenominon out here but I saw a show on it on Discovery. Hope every thing turns out well for you guys

im 150 miles inland and we're getting strong winds/rain at the moment. Really suppose to get nasty between now and tomorrow night as the storm cuts into central PA. All schools and a lot of stores closed. 227- I'd say all the flooding is from the rain. All that water has to drain somewhere ( from inland back to the ocean ). I know last year around this time we had floods that raised our river from <5 to ~20ft. Lots of houses and business destroyed last year. Superjet and gopro is ready to go this time around!

wow, if LBI is under I have ocean front property now. Thats crazy, I just saw ocean city on the news and it was looking pretty bad. I hope everyone makes it safely thru this one. How high the water is now, during low tide before the main storm, its not looking too good for whats to come.

As bad as it sounds, stuff is just stuff. I know it sucks, but at the end of the day, you can fix a house. Loved ones can't be replaced.

I'm on the bay in Brigantine hunkered in with my parents. We only have one generator between the two households. Water came up fast this morning. Most of Brigantine is still underwater. The surge came so fast it blew up some toilets on the lower end of the island
