I'm over in Phoenix, I've got a q8 with a 850 Dasa and a 145 Skat, you're welcome to come over and give it a go... I'll be selling the hull soon, along with everything else.

Hi from the UK,I am building an Aerial 8 with SXR pump and 701 motor, hull was second hand with the SXR pump/driveshaft fitted. Pump had been shimmed at the rear but alignment with the shaft was way off and the impeller was loose, once the impeller was tightened up the shaft support bearing/mount would not line up with its bolt holes.
After a lot of trying I found that it needed 7 mm of shims at the rear mounting points to correct the alignment, with theses in and slight modifications to the engine mounts the engine aligned correctly,is this normal for this hull? I can machine some tapering wedges to mount the pump securely but think this is a bit much for a "quality" am hull, thanks Dom.

shouldnt have to modify the engine mounts. The stock pump doesnt fit well in the hull, but 7mm isnt to bad. Check out the Superfreak Tigercraft has for sale has like 1' lol.

So i bought my frist am hull a few mounths ago a 2014 eme micro. One of the hull extention plate bolt inserts got pushed though. Does anyone who of a way i can put a new insert in with out cuting and reglassing.

I also was wondering if its common for these hulls to have gelcoat voids i found two on the nose of the ski.

Also from what i understand you have to have the motor out to pretty much do anything other then tuning and changing plugs

I built my own hull extention it is a better fit to the hull then the stock eme one. Im a 200+ rider so i figur i probably and gonna want that little extra lenght.

Had the ski in the water today(lake only just opened for the season) and disappointed as it just does not hit-just revs through. Engine is 701 with pump gas head, ported with case work, lighted flywheel,B pipe with modded water box. When the motor was in my superjet it hit very hard although it did have a mag pump. The SXR pump fitted to the hull is in good condition and is fit with a Solas impeller that had 9deg pitched leading edge, I have repitched the impeller to 14 Dec and fitted a Worx scoop grate but this only made a slight difference so what are people running? There does not seem to be any cavitation as the pump is well sealed into the hull.I have a good superjet pump is this worth fitting or is something more exotic(expensive) needed, thanks Dom..

Solas mag at least, to get the hit. You should look into fitting the SJ Solas mag, or getting a bigger pump, like a Skat 142 or 145.

Hi, just received my Solas jet pump(SXR) for the Ariel 8, was waiting for the £-$ to improve but need some advice as to what impeller to use as a base-don't mind repitching as long as it's not too far out, thanks Dom

Can anyone tell me how these compare to a Polaris octane? I love my octane for how stable and forgiving it is and would like to know what the best eme hull would give me the same feedback if any. Can I still go fast on these hulls and turn?

It's based off of the sxr from what I understand. Although it doesn't handle anything like one!

Does anyone know if a RRP laydown pipe will fit in a micro?

Yes but you well have to be creative with fuel tank or run a rear tank and move ebox to side. Running rear tank from the feel of my 14, micro would put more rear weight. So if going that route I would run longer ride plate. If you decide to have custom tank made to fit in front of pipe your gonna loose ability to fill. if you don't add a fill hose and fill cam under pole. But from what ive been told if you have any kind of gap + taking close to 1/4 off each coupler there a almost no way fitting a kart tank or even a tank made for the B pipe in there. P.s. if you need any info on the micro I well help as much as I can. I don't know why but all these guy with micros don't wanna tell me anything. I even talked to Eric Malone and even if you get a hold of him. He isn't very specific about actual measurements and won't tell you the flaws in the Hull and how to fix. Does your eme micro have a rub mark into actual bedding plate beneath layers on front left side of the motoe. I don't have any cracks or stress marks on outside but can see where the bedding plate bolt on front left side has Warren into actual bedding plate in between layers. From what I've seen there is no actual fix unless you change actual pump angle and motor angle. Can't shim motor in front enough to make it not wear. Even if you shim the pump so it's low and shim the actual mid-shaft housing to align with motor shimmed up enough that the front left bedding plate bolt doesn't hit the actual bedding plate. Your gonna be filling close to 1/4in or more on mid shaft.

I have the same problem with one of the left front bed plate bolts contacting the hull. I glassed over it at the beginning of this season thinking it was from when the previous owner had his motor mounts let go but it contacted again this season. I also dont see a easy way to fix it without changing the pump angle

I've seen that one out on the river in Parker, AZ. There was a rumor going around that he had swindled someone out of money or parts. I don't know if that ever got resolved. I hope it did.

Yeah it did , that was me that you met in parker , sold it to some Russian dude that licoriceed me on the deal and PayPal screwed or all up so he basically got a ski and got his money back . Had to go through a huge hassle drive over 7 hrs but we got it all resolved . Just stupid I’ll never do another deal over the web on a skicash on hand and local pick up
He had the ski and the money and PayPal wouldn’t help me at all and on top of that I never received a dispute claim . It was just a mess never again
