Well it took about 3 days but it's painted! Had a little issue with the paint supplier or it would have been done Sunday. I can not thank Steve, Murph and of course my brother Aaron enough for all the help they gave me on this. Sunday I was highly motivated until I opened the first paint that I was given and it wasn't even close to what I had ordered. We still got it almost ready for paint on Sunday and then I finished it up yesterday during work, paint booth is literally 15 seconds away from my office. The paint is a pink neon from house of kolor and it came out a little darker than I hoped but it still is bright! I'll eventually get some pictures of it outside in the sun, once it gets a little nicer here. We will be wetsanding it, can't believe I'm saying that but I will do what my brother wants.
The pictures more or less tell the story. Bare hull then sanded it and taped it off. I did prime it but not as much as I should of, have pinholes in the paint but they don't bother me whatsoever. Sealed it with one coat then painted a couple coats of white. After white it was on to the pink, I think we sprayed 3-4 coats of pink. It was not covering very well and I trusted my brother, he is the painter. I know it is thick and the paint will probably crack but the paint is doomed anyways once I start riding it. From there he sprayed 3 coats of clear because we made the decision to wetsand it after the first coat.
