Custom/Hybrid Erok's Fast Elements Superfreak Build

Will you hurry up........i can't stand this wait!!! I want to flip this Freak!!!!! LOLOLOLOL
:brap:

You can't wait, imagine how I feel!!!!

For those of you who don't know Moto360, aka Patch Motors, aka Pat, he is the reason why my ski runs. For those of you who have ridden my skis in the past or are going to ride this new beast, he is the one you can blame for never wanting to get off of it. If you ever need a crank rebuilt then just get in touch with Pat, hands down the best.

Some older pictures from a few days ago. I just glued the inserts in place and also the custom battery box that I whipped up real quick last week.

Well I was a little busy bee the last couple nights. You can move forward a couple steps but it seems that you have to go back a step or two at the same time. Put the hood hooks on both the hull and hood as well as the hood straps. Also got the turf done with a lot of help from Steve @ Fast Elements. I went with black molded diamonds and 25mm underpadding. It is not the best but we were both pleasantly content with how it turned out, next time we'll have a better idea of what to do. With my free time I decided to build a back up motor, just kidding!

I wouldn't hesitate to put those hood hooks up where they belong. Looks like it's probably too far along now.

Be sure to pad the pole a lot! I would suggest putting it on the hood itself. That's my .02, congrats and look forward to seeing it at Wavedaze.

Where would you normally put the hood hooks? (l never had hood hooks before!)

Just from the research I did before assembly I decided to put them in the center, seems to work rather well so far. As for the padding I mad some pads on the pole but like you suggested I am going to add some more to the hood, don't want any scratches or chips in the paint from the pole or pad.

Underneath the two wings on the front of the hood. From what I read it sounded like it was more difficult to put the hood on and off. I'll let you know how mine works out but that's how Josh and Lucas are doing it I'm pretty sure.

FYI, with the hooks installed as per the last picture ^^ (My freak, btw ), I can put the hood on in less than 3 seconds. And it's super dry. The hull can be upside down for over 45 seconds without water intrusion issues.

2nd - this is how i installed my hooks.

the "correct" way, i do not understand how to properly line up the hood side hooks. that, and i can see everything when taking the hood on and off and make sure everything is lined up correctly.

Need to catch up with the build thread. I must say that I was slacking a little on the pictures once I really got going on the assembly of this thing. These are a few I took as I got some things inside of it. Sorry but the gas tank isn't new because it will only be in there for a month or so, had my little bro turf the bottom of it for me. Got the pole on but I don't think it is tightening down enough for my liking, might need to add another washer as I think the bolt is running out of threads.

The motor alignment took a little time but not nearly as much as I thought as I was going to spend on it. Couplers look good but I am going to press out the midshaft a little to get them a little closer. Added the nose foam out of a square hull, took a little shaving and some punching but it eventually fit up in there.

Still have a couple little things to finish up before it is completely ready to ride, should be out on the water this afternoon/evening!!!

I'm sure you won't have issues. I think those guys exaggerate about putting the hood on. I don't have any issues. My pole has a umi pad attached to it and I got separated from the ski and it broke my hood. Bucky broke his hood too from the pole hitting it I'm guessing. I fixed mine with some pretty sweet "cars" band aids though. :burnout:

Build looks great, that pole looks miserable short. You guys are nuts!

Common did you get freaky yet?? Can't wait to see it at wavedaze !!!!
Maybe a quick ski switch q8 for badass test ride :)

You gotta be pumped
