Been watching this thread from work....but can't view vids there.
Just watched,

I guess I'm officially a wave snob now! That was ugly surf after 1:36!

Never been there, always been coastal...(spoiled I guess)
You guys rock.
Respect.

Yes and no......the waves don't have nearly as steep of a face as most ocean waves. I have been flipping on Lake MI the last 3 weeks, but it's definitely a lot harder to find a good wave in our surf than it is out on the west coast.

yup... definitely

A little motivation around here might help! (HINT TO CREW!!!!)

move up here next fall bro... :woot: - we now have several guys roll and flipping up here (Buffalo/Rochester/Syracuse). I always finding it more motivating when i see others going off.

That's it, we're closing Cleveland... ya'll need to just move to this end of the lake...

Me too Frosty....its fun as hell to watch IMO....

I think that is why i can't stand helmet cams...I hate them...hate the day they were invented....gives no real perspective and no fun to watch...

I remember when I saw freestylegeek do his first flip out on Lake MI. It was the coolest thing I had ever seen. It definitely gives you motivation when other people are going big around you. It also takes away the excuses. You can't say the waves aren't good enough if your buddy just did a flip off them.

LOL, or when your buddy rolls or flips your ski and then hands it back. "Seems to be running fine to me" LOL No excuses. Team riding is the only reason i'm even involved, that and the fact that Frosty has been going big for years. It really pump up the other riders, seeing him do his first back flip, made me understand that you can do them on lake surf

+1 on that. Although I would get a helmet cam for this reason only, since I watch the gang rip while I ride myself. Infact there has been two or three times where you rolled right over my head as if you where a cow jumping over the moon. What an incredible sight that was, even better if caught on film

60 pound hull will be impossible to navigate in the Lake Erie chop, plus you'll get blown all over in the air. Maybe refoam this winter? and get a little more brap? Total Loss? Bigger carbs?

yup... unless you're planning to attept flat water BF's, you don't need a light hull in Lake Erie waves... that's why i finally decided to bail on an AM hull, and went with building a new Dasa motor instead.

Matt, all ya need is to hit it hard... Ask Brian... the throttle is your friend - trust me. :naughty:

lose any fear of landing on your head, or braking :):):):)... and just hit it...

well, after I get my new motor together, you are welcome to try my LPW ported 83.5mm cylinder (pistons etc), and ADA head with 33cc domes. Makes nice power... see if that's how you want to go... nice thing, it's easy bolt on power.

Porting and an MSD enhancer will give you some increased power.

I will take you up on that! I tend to always try to have 2 motors.....so I may just get another one...but not a billet monster like before...just a 61x ported something with some 44's maybe?

Porting and bigger carbs. I remember riding Chuck's old ladies boat in Michigan. Same set up as you and rick, but with bigger carbs. RIPPED.
