I never said all people with B pipes were sheep.

I implied ( and you didnt get) anyone who would think a B pipe is better than a coffman sizzler pipe is a sheeple

I am a sheeple, I bought into the BS hype, and made the change.

so.... people that are happy with their b pipes are now sheep because your b piped ski runs like azz?

did i get that right? im running 4 skis w/ b pipes and couldnt be happier with them.

I blew carb cleaner thru all of them before installing, and all 3 holes flowed just fine.

the hose from the manifold to the head, I think its that one, it was under the chamber.

I melted some paint off of the chamber in the same day trying to tune the pipe in.

I honestly cant find anywhere between too much water ( weak ski) and too hot.

did you make sure your water injection holes aren't closed shut in your headpipe?

I'm running a total of .5 turns out between my top and middle and I'm not melting hoses.

Which hose did you melt mouth?

:haha:

you are completely clueless when it comes to pipes, i see.

stick with your sizzler.... im sure it runs much better than an untuned b pipe with melted hoses.

youre right and everyone else is wrong.

.... and youre CHEAPLE running sizzlers are obviously all master tuners. :wavey:

why would you assume something so assinine?

I searched here, for HOURS before ever asking any questions.

the first topics I found that talked about water screws, had some suggestions that said top 2.5 out, others closed.

I made that setting, and test rode before I did anything else.

thanks to sheer volume of BS posts with NO other info thatn " set it to this and forget it" it is EXTREMELY hard to sift through and get any information of actual value using the search feature.

and when you ask a question, its like a whos who, whos a builder buddy, or who likes who to get an answer.

i dont have time to play the game, dive into the drama, and wade thru that BS.

fawk yall, im going back to my coffman pipe.

:swordfight:

so, why would you take all the advice that's been given here on good running motors, ignore that advice - and start with your own specs?

if nothing else - go back and start where IHOP and SFL suggested and see where it gets you.

Dude don't give up on it just yet. It will rip. You need a fcv, and just go out and play with the screws. The bottom screw made mine rip on top, but it was a horse turd on the bottom. I closed the bottom, then opened the top 1/2 and the middle 1/4. Now I'm at 1/4 on both, but I plan on trying to tune it a little more this weekend. If you don't have a fcv it is probably loading the shiot out of your waterbox.

no. youre completely WRONG!

the b pipe is a POS and the best pipe ever made is the stocker.

in fact, if you modify a wr500 pipe, it works even BETTER than the stock 650 pipe.

thanks for your VERY helpful advice sir.

If I cant eventually get it dialed in, i WILL swap back.

aluminum prop?

what?

Im sure I could have made some mistakes, the biggest one obviously was trying to run a different pipe with limited time to mess with it before I wanted to actually run it.

a VERY nice and helpful X-h20 member actually sent me a FCV to try out.

and of course, the first time I ran it, I had to tow a broken ski in ( a kawasaki...) so I was terrified it wasnt opening and kept trying to brap it a little, and would mess up the towing.

so I removed the shims so the FCV would basically open really soon.

yes, I have more tuning to DO.

My initial post on here, before the MOB came to play, was that YES, it takes FOREVER to figure out who to listen too, in fact dont listen to ANYONE... except waxhead.

seriously, Im pretty sure that bottom screw is the only one you want open.
I simply cant get to mine easily.

thats my next try, open it, and close the top and try that.

my pipe, and water box are WAY too wet apparently.

funny though, the other pipe, with a wetter setup worked better....

but that makes me ignorant and stupid and not worthy of good advice apparently.

Im so terribly hurt, I think my inner pony is crying.

set your fcv to 2.5-3.5lbs popoff pressure and I bet it will be a ton better with that. Everyone's setup is different, and different things will work better on one boat vs another. Plus everyone likes a different feel in there boat ex. (when the power comes on etc.) you just gotta tinker.

The Penguin

triple secret probation
YES

in a heartbeat.

ill trade it for a coffman sizzler and $250

if only I had one to fulfill your wishes - but alas, cash is king. How much?

I always figured you for an "inner kitten" kinda guy, but I see that I was wrong.

and although SFL is an I-net a-hole most of the time, he really is a nice guy - and does give good advice between the BS.

at least most of the time.

I would PM you some questions about this setup, if you are willing to indulge them.

and I do appreciate your advice, even though Ive nearly wrecked this thread for simply trying to bring it to light.
