i'd take another one of his clone hulls in one second, but i'd have to get it for dirt cheap, like the one I have. I heard he sold the molds so he's not making more. probably just selling personal skis. i'm sure it doesn't look that great close up, like mine doesn't, but whatever. a little too much $ for whats in it for running gear, but i'd still like to have it

If you look closely on the gunwales in the 1st big pic cd155mx posted, you can see he named the Hull in our honor. Also, I don't support anyone to make a very close knock off of a product, but with the more parts they build, you would think the quality would have to improve if they're trying at all. I saw this ski in person at Wave Rave last year and as Smitty says "it looked" pretty nice.

Really holding my tongue here about how wrong this is but everyone that says the industry is cut throat and everyone has splashed a ski blah blah blah.. well to the tons of ppl who have worked their ass's off to afford real rickters it's a kick in the nuts.. "johnny jetski" will go riding on his 440 dreaming of the rickters he sees online and see one of these hunks of poop and think that's the fit and finish ppl are paying so much money for? It's just stupid to have those decales on it. Does someone who wanted a f150 end up with a Silverado because the rebates were better then put f150 badges on it? It's seriously the same level of stupid

Hard to believe. What setup was in each?
They both had AM freestyle motors with total loss and pfp exhaust at the time. Both could flip. The XFU was easier to ride, and less tiring. It was very stable and recovered much better with a smooth planted feel. If I didn't already have a carbon hull and another lightweight fiberglass freeride ski it would be very tempting to buy a XFU.

I'm willingl to bet that every A/M hull builder started out by splashing something - usually a superjet. So why is it okay for some and not others?

Except for copying the name, that's just stupid...
