i'm not saying the guy isn't a scandalous POS. this thread was about the fake rickters, if they were garbage and how much of a POS he is for copying. if it was a brand new never used hull, I wouldn't trust it to stay together. I know a kid that bought one of his SJ hoods off ebay and it was totally unusable garbage ( so the kid said) but a used hull that had several different power plants in it, probably is worth having. I don't think he would build or keep junk for personal. if he builds and sells something that is totally unusable, yes, POS!

This is the guy that originally asked me about his ski.. Funny how last year it was an 850cc and now this year its pushing 950cc on an oem cylinder.
No where in the ad is it advertised as a fake. There is so much wrong in that entire ad.

so that hull is a fake rickter as well? I would never been able to tell
I believe 94mm is a 944 on a stock stroke crank so no it's no where near a 950

Im almost positive you cant go 94mm on a 61x cyl. You completely missed my point.. Last year it was listed as 850cc.. This year its "magically" 95cc... Red flag?

Really? Out of everything just the cc size of the engine changing after a year is your "red flag" I was just stating the obvious and not trying to be jerk. This whole fake rickter thing is like beating a dead horse.

Dead horse huh. The ski matt just posted on here is passing it off as a real rickter. After all this post is on fake rickters. A ninja at that. Believe me when I say rick Roy knows of it and doesn't like it. I ran into him back in 2014. It's wrong and we all know it.

I get that this post is about fake rickters and to warn each other about fake hulls for sale. what I meant about the dead horse comment is the constant posts within the tread of bitching on how it's wrong and blah blah blah. Yes we get it and we all know it's wrong. But didn't some people on here buy his fake rickters? If so isn't that supporting the guy making them? Bottom line is if Rick had such a huge problem with it and was so mad about it, the guy wouldn't be doing it anymore. That's why they have patents and copyrights. Problem solved. I like to follow the threads to see what is out there just like everyone else but the constant posts on "how wrong it is" are getting old.

the title says clone and by the description of parts, its clear to me that the seller doesn't know dick about what he has. (bullet) billet pole that looks cast to me, unknown carbs, non specific trim and mag pump. anybody that knows anything can take a 2 second look and know everything about what they are looking at. not that this guy did it, but I laugh at the know nothings that call the hull the haul LOL
and all you have to do is change something like 10% and the patent doesn't apply.

What really sucks about this is how it hurts the people in Michigan that don't copy or clone skis. I am Crazy Joe's Customs guy out in Cali and when I ride with people to promote the new BAM, this is their response...
"Isn't that the guy in Michigan who clones everything. I heard his stuff is straight garbage."
Blah Blah Blah.
It's like 7/10 guys I speak with say that. I then have to explain to them how that is someone else and not Joe and it's gets old man.
It just sucks it's bringing honest guys reputation down like Joe and Joey. who created their own company and made their own GENUINE hull.
Shawn does make a good hull now, better than some other a/m hulls I've seen haha

Must be a West Coast thing. Around here everyone old enough to know, knows that Joe painted/repaired a metric ton of Region 6 race skis back in the day and did it all out of his garage. I don't know anyone in the area who has said bad about him. Even John Dady spoke highly of Joe's work. Driving through Detroit to get to his house... now that's another story.
One bad apple spoils the whole bunch. @CrazyJoesRacing and @air blair shouldn't suffer because of it.
