Super Jet FearMyWrX/Profound-Dynamics RN Build

Didn't work on the ski Friday or Sat but got some time in the shop today. I did interior sanding, drilled out all inserts, created opening for breather tubes and gas cap, made a custom billet bracket to hold OCD solutions Surf Armor Switch, and assembled ski.

When I pulled off my midshaft when disassembling the ski, my driveshaft wasn't dead center so when I put in together today, I fabbed up some custom stainless shims for lack of other options to make the driveshaft sit dead center.

The ski went together well, I didn't get any pictures because it started getting late so I just had fuel lines laying everywhere and it's not all Prettied up yet. I did get the ski started then left the shop. Shaun didn't have the same luck, he is having some issues from what we thing is E-box related, he checked the CDI and it appears to be bad.\

I also wighted my ski after re-enforcement and only gained a little more than 10 pounds. I thought it was going to be much higher.

Tomorrow is turf then we should be done!

what are the bottom two pics of? did the mag pump set up arrive from FL yet?

that is a plate i made so he could mount his surf armor switch on his rrp handle pole. and yes i got my solas mag from jetmaniac on friday. i had him build the pump complete w/ a new heavy duty driveshaft, hooker 10-16 prop and solas mag 12vaine stator so all i had to do was bolt it back together with my wear ring and reduction nozel.
know any one who wants a stock 144mm stator w/ stock drive shaft and solas prop all installed? haha

Well, the turf took a lot longer than expected but finally got the ski all ready to run. Not only did we take care of the turf and and under matting. I also make things nice and pretty inside and tried to route wires/fuel lines as nicely as possible.

I was able to get the reserve line, pos batt cable, bilge wiring, carb return line, and the start stop which through the stock yamaha little black protector hose that was provided from the factory. This way, the only thing that runs from front to back on the exhaust side is the ribbed protector I put everything in and the exhaust tube hose.

I also decided to only run a reserve line so Shaun made me up a little billet reserve delete. I've also had problems with a place to mount my limiting rope to my RRP pole that was low profile to prevent damage to my hood. Shaun made me an ULTRA low profile connection point that taps right into the pole. We also made a threaded backing plate for where the Stainless "D-Ring" hooks into the tray to provide more security than just washers and nuts. Heres some quick pics.

Shaun went with the black turf, I went with dark grey. We decided to do a little two tone with our turf to really bring some life into it. I put black on the inside of the footholds while he used my grey. After I laid down the grey matter for the bottom, I wish I would have done that black too but it was too late because the piece had already been cut. Not a big deal and if it bothers me, I have a whole uncut sheet of black molded diamond in Idaho if I want to switch it up.

One of the pictures shows how the carbon lay-up turned out which in my opinion, was very well :)

I rode Kurts ski after this project was finished. He did a great job on the footholds and reinforcing. The All-Around footholds are money! Best set up ever! Congrats to both Kurt & Shaun on getting their skis dialed in!
