i dont think a triple will fit in a freak...

to utilize the versatility of the hull you would have to get really fancy with your set-ups. nozzles, domes, pole length, water screws, bottom deck , ect...

if you're just running an typical 701 freeride set-up it wont flip as a flatwater ski and in race hull bottom deck youll be riding a 20k ski that only goes 50

But you ignore completely that i am talking about recreational riders. Someone who would want to setup a limited race motor and ride it everywhere. I do that now with my superjet. I was going to start racing my superjet but it unfortunately didnt work out for me as i had hoped. I also ride surf and wanted a wider, shortened rockered hull which i couldnt race. Im talking about weekend warriors who arent looking to break the bank being top contenders, which is really most people.

Besides, The xmetal 900ss in a stock 08 superjet hull was around or over 55mph and the rider was holding it down solid against some triples in open class, and taking home first several times. It was plenty of power 0 to wot for most of us to be very happy with.

I hope they let you test ride what they've got so you can share your initial impressions.

I've seen a lot of posts here expressing doubts about the quality of a cheap hull. On their site, they list the price at $6500 so I wouldn't put them in that category.

Exactly. It's a blow-molded plastic hull. Their advertising is misleading people to think flexibility is strength.

And let me ask... what on earth would make anyone want to swap decks with someone on the beach? Why not just ride the other persons ski?

Let's say they sell 50 hulls, that's 1 per state; or even 200 hulls, that's 4 per state. What are the chances of meeting someone on the same beach, ramp, etc with the same hull who would want to go through the effort of swapping decks?

Also, with swappable decks for flat, surf, racing, you would have to disconnect and reconnect
cables, bilge, water lines, etc just to swap a deck...

Not to be a downer on this hull specifically or any other new hull, but there are too many AM hulls and not enough innovation in enhancing the 1990's tech that this sport can't seem to let go of.

Flexibility in certain cases is strength. If the world's skyscrapers didn't have some kind of flexibility then they would have collapsed from earthquakes or high winds. I completely agree with the lack of innovation. However I will go on to say there is a lack of innovation in almost EVERY industry. Theres two kind of innovations, the ones that say "why didn't I think of that?" or "how the hell are they doing that?" and I can't remember the last time I had said either of them.

The silence on how the hull demos were at the Mastercraft event leads one to assume that no one has anything nice to say......

Just sayin.
If I find new, soft, super cleansing toilet paper at a steal, I sure as marshmallow wouldn't tell you! It would only drive demand through the roof. Maybe all the good is still being relived in memory... or maybe all that rode are in the E.R. with traumatic brain injury from sustained flight and break-up upon re-entry...

or they're just plain ole' speechless.

Should be good. Needs some dynatrac pro rock 60s at each end on long arms and all set for Moab. Jk. Nah looks good. Let's see how it goes

So.... I was in line to pay form my coffee this morning and the guy in front of me had a shirt on for a server company that said:

"If at first you don't succeed, call your first attempt version 1.0"

Hahahaha... I can't even make stuff like that up. But hey like we've all said, good for them to have the grit and capital to push forward to version 2.0.

I have a lot of thoughts on that video, but i'll keep my concerns to myself. The contour work on that frame is very impressive to me. Its no easy task to get long sweeping bends like that in aluminum and mirror it on both sides of the frame. That will be ridiculously rigid and sturdy.

They obviously have their poop together on the fab end of things.

Not that there is anything wrong with this, but its pretty obvious they've outsourced the "fab" work to a chassis fab shop (see the race car in the back ground.) It looks like FFF handed the shop a top and bottom deck and said "Make a internal frame that fits inside this, allows for a handle pole mount, engine pump etc."

I'm interested to see how the decks fit around the frame, but i'm absolutely impressed with the fab work.
